My 10,000th post is dedicated to beginning a new YIELD thread. The other one was locked without warning or communication. Let's keep it to YIELD, SVT, or live YIELD songs here.
This thread probably won't end up as long as the last one was because some folks were banned. Let's learn a lesson here and stay on topic and avoid personal attacks.
YIELD on.

YIELD on.
No longer overwhelmed it seems so simple now.

I *heart* Yield! That and No Code is one of my favorite PJ albums. I love the way Yield just flows through from the first track to the last. It is definitely one of my favorites. Also, not to mention that there are quite a few Gossard songs in it;)ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~ø~

So far, it's PJ's masterpiece. It just has everything.0

I love Yield! I don't understand why they don't play more songs from it live. I'd love to hear Push Me, Pull Me0

Yield is the best album ever made, it's what got me into music with DTE and I haven't found a better album yet. You just can't put into words how great Yield is.Wouldn't it be funny if the world ended in 2010, with lots of fire?0

I will NEVER forget the first time I listened to Yield!!! My friend (a HUGE yield lover) had given me yield as my "gateway" into the world of PJ. It changed my view of PJ and I became a *real* fan
The album is amazing...it really covers all grounds. Faithful, In Hiding, GTF, MFC, Brain of J...you guys all knowI've totally been on a DTE binge lately!!
I CANT WAIT FOR YIELD DAY (and night - I had to work last year :( )
"Me you, you me it's all related..."
I am definitely going to watch SVT tonight!it's funny when things change so much, it's all state of mind...0 -
i wore my new YIELD shirt to 5v1 last night and they played many YIELD songs, including no way.
thank you."I hear Fanch has a Pimp Cup and loves Kiss. I think that's all that really matters."0 -
What to say about YIELD?
I like it. a lot.
In Hiding is probably my favorite song.
Such a perfect combination of songs, from Brain Of J
to Hummus
And SVT...:o I watched the other day after a long time.
Every time I see it, I fell in love with them again
It reminds me of who they are, and why I love them"I surfaced and all of my being was enlightened"0 -
Finally, The Rock has come back...to the YIELD thread.
"I don't know...it's, it's it's...it's more intense..you know? I find myself sweating more when I'm playing...even though it's 60 degrees in the room."
PBM"We paced ourselves and we didn't rush through it and we tried to be as creative as our collective minds would let us be over some course of time instead of just trying to rush through a record"

Illegal use of a Binaural lyric in the YIELD thread.
Resume talk about YIELD at the spot of the foul, first down.

And no one sings me lullabyes
And no one makes me close my eyes
So I throw the windows wide
And call to you across the sky....0 -

i think most people that don't like Pilate can't get into the chorus...but the lyrics to the verses are REALLY good! check 'em out:
Talk of circles and punching out
Looking in, drawing circles down
Falling up the south marking ground
Talking out of turn, drawing circles down
...
Walks me out of town
Still, one's a crowd
Making angels in the dirt
Looking up, looking all around
...
Stunned by my own reflection
It's looking back, sees me too clearly
And I swore I'd never go there again
Not unlike a friend that politely drags you down
You down...you down...you down
dsAnd no one sings me lullabyes
And no one makes me close my eyes
So I throw the windows wide
And call to you across the sky....0 -
Yeah man, a very Yieldy weekend for me. I finally went to an ipod. Didnt have much time, traveled to N.O. this weekend and only had time to put Yield on there. WOW. I heard so many differant things clearer with the headphones. It made my weekend. I also re learned what song touches my soul.
FAITHFULL.
I would not be the same person without this song.
It not only rocks it is just what I am all about.
And Yield took the sting out of that heartbreaking Eagles playoff loss.
Glad to see a new Yield post, regardless of who got banned there was real passion going on there FROM ALL!
Peace. Some people have religion I have Pearl Jam.
