This album just gives me a warm fuzzy feeling while listening to it. it really is like an old friend who knows your every move. It's is the equivalent of comfort food. This is comfort music for sure!!!
Yield is the best PJ album to drive in your car...long trips from Luxemburg to Italy and Yield is there. Remember that last time started the record as I entered Switzerland...Basel...da-da-da-da da-da-da-daaaa-da-da-da-da Who's got the brain of JFK What it means to us now....
Beavis : Is this Pearl Jam?
Butt-head: This guy makes faces like Eddie Vedder.
Beavis: No, Eddie Vedder makes faces like this guy.
Butt-head: I heard these guys, like, came first and Pearl Jam ripped them off.
Beavis: No, Pearl Jam came first.
Butt-head: Well, they both suck.
Well I listen to yiled alot straight through, but there are also times I play Faithfull after every song, so I go from emotional warm and fuzzy to rocking out and than back to warm and fuzzy.
And I can be caught touching myself quite frequently.
Me too! I only went to the 7/21/98 Memorial Stadium show in Seattle with the Wallflowers opening for them.

"Things were different then...all is different now"
Wasn't in the fanclub back in '98...had to travel 6 hours to see a show...sat in the nosebleeds....heard Hard to Imagine.
Those were the days.

Did you all know that first Wallflowers record sold more copies than any Bob Dylan records ever did?
That's what Ian MacKaye said....assuming it's true.

I didn't know that.
Do you think Jacob brings that up at family dinners?
I was shocked that the Wallflowers were touring with PJ that year. They weren't bad...considering I wasn't that into them and I was stoked for PJ to take stage.
Even though I only went to one show, it was a pretty good one to be at YIELD setlist-wise.
5 YIELD songs...not great, but what do you expect in Knoxville?

Definitely the best tour IMO.....The anticipation was so great I saw them during the Ten tour in 92 was blown away....but didn’t get another chance to see them until 98. Made it worth my while seeing three shows that tour; Vancouver, Seattle II, and was even able to work an East coast show in Toronto / Barrie. The last two being GA shows with amazing energy!!!

Here's mine. Number 1 is easy, way ahead of any song by anyone, 2-5 are in a pack of songs which are the best in rock history, followed by other packs of tunes that would be the best tracks on most other albums.

Another factor in it's greatness.
Was it dedicated to wishing Bert Faver would come back to play another year?
