Unbelievable....
What a waste of an excellant race by Massa. Good to see some new faces on the podium though.
Raikkonen realized he was in a race with 10 laps to go, tsk tsk.
I expected Hamilton to blow everyone away, good fight with Massa.0 -
Poor Massa! But hey,that's racing.
Kimi, I swear that guy makes me laugh. such a lazy driver. That is the 2nd or 3rd time this season he woke up and started racing a bit too late.
So BMW say that they are now focused on next season. so not to expect too much more from the car this season.
What's it like 20 day's till the next race?...too long.0 -
Apparently Kimi got the message from his team to stop speeding when Massa's engine blew up which was a real shame 'cause 2 extra points could really help him.
Really sorry for Massa, he did really great during the start and was driving his way to the gold and showing to those Ferrari naysayers that the reds still weigh a lot but stupid car trouble got in the way again.
Good race for Glock though. Way to go!Don't go messing with machoes!0 -

I'm with you on that:) He's just not overly committed to racing. It's is job and no more. I think he does not have that passion to winning the races as Schumi had.
A funny answer to the related question:
Q: Do you get bored during a race?
A: Only when my competitors are far behind. That's when I start thinking about something else or pushing buttons on the steering wheel and sometimes miss the point where I need to hit the brakes.
He's hilarious. But that's Kimi, he's funny in a hampster kind of way.Don't go messing with machoes!0 -

Hungaroring showed a real progress in Toyota. Finally, those millions start to pay off.Don't go messing with machoes!0

great race-great season so far.
Masa schooled hamilton at the start and then superboy locked up his tires when he had no rubber left-poor masa-was he pushing too hard or did the car have a meltdown?
looking forward to the street circuit in Valencia
plus:
Fernando Alonso is set to drive for Honda in 2009 as a stop-gap measure prior to a move to Ferrari a year later.
The former world champion is currently with Renault but The Guardian reports that the Spaniard is not only due to sign a $15m deal to drive alongside Jenson Button next year, but has already shaken hands on a deal to join Ferrari some time in the future.
Key to Alonso's switch to Honda is the appointment of former Ferrari team boss Ross Brawn, who has stated his high opinion of the former McLaren driver in the past.
Honda believe Alonso could be worth 0.6secs a lap and his test and development skills are just what the team requires with a raft of new aerodynamic rules, slick tyres and KERS energy regeneration systems being introduced in 2009.
Beyond that, his arrival at Ferrari is difficult to predict with world champion Kimi Raikkonen contracted through to the end of next year and Felipe Massa to 2010.
Good news for honda and Alonso (although I cant stand him and he is not a team player) con hopefully get more out of the mediocre Honda cars.
Or maybe he will spy on Ferrari for Honda0 -

I did hear the Honda rumor though.0 -
Rygar wrote:Ugh don't tell me that, I don't want him in a Ferrari. The guys were saying that Ferrari had their eye on Kubica, I'd rather him there.

The question for me is will they resign Kimi after next season?
The 50m iceman has be consistent, but not dominant.
Id love to see Alonso at Ferrari, just another reason not too root for them0 -

Kimi hasn't been too impressive the last few races (other than his exhaust issue).0 -
Get_Right wrote:that being said, he is in second place for the drivers championship
That's kimi, even last season. He didn't have some super great season. He infact put me to sleep last season with his cold driving. Yet he won! mainly bcoz the other drivers just threw it away.0 -
Good drivin' by Massa, again.
Two races in a row to have a Ferrari blow it's engine, wtf! The sky is falling the sky is falling!
Kubica made an appearance finally, good to see that too.0 -
boring race
beautiful place, but a boring race0 -
It's good to see Massa win after the last race. Kimi, haha! what's wrong with him? He was upset that Lewis bumped into him during a red, then he leaves pits when it's not green himself.
And yeah, great location. Track looked nice. But needs something to help overtaking.0 -

I dunno what the hell Kimi was doing. The guy in the paddock reporting said that the light turned green, but it didn't.0 -
Total spoiler for those on a delay.
Next time if there's rain in the forecast I'm not getting up for the race...
Hamilton given a 25 second penalty for avoiding the chicane to put himself into a passing position. Massa wins, Heidfeld 2nd, Hamilton 3rd.
Hilarous. I disagree with the call, but hilarious.
Glock also given a 25 second penalty for overtaking during a yellow flag, lost his point.0 -

yeah that's BS! He also gave the position back.
Kimi! again! I said from the start that he does not deserve to be driving a Ferrari. I mean he's good, he's very good but not Ferrari good. haha, k that's unfair I guess.
i'm happy to see Massa do soooo well these days. Good form. He hardly get's the respect he deserves. I'm backing him for the championships but I have a feeling Kimi may spoil the party with some unfair play. I don't think he's gonna back Massa the way Massa backed him last season.
Hamilton (2 my mind) won that race fair. He chased like an ace with those harder compounds on and had a clean pass by Kimi after giving the position back.0 -

Anyway, I see what the stewards are talking about but I don't really think it should have been a 25 second penalty.
The rain screws everything up, hopefully everything is sunny next week.0 -
Rygar wrote:I don't think he 'gave' the position back, he didn't look like he slowed down at all...well that isn't entirely true, but whatever. Hamilton blaming Raikkonen for driving him off the road was humorous.

Yeah perhaps he shoudve backed off more. anyway like you said, 25 seconds? I wonder how they came up with that number.
Next race is Monza. Then Singapore! Should be crazy.0 -

I think the stewards reasoning is that because of the chicane he was able to position himself, and with the speed, to pass when otherwise he wouldn't have been able to. There's no way he was pulling off that outside pass going into the chicane, no matter what he tells reporters
I still don't think he should have gotten a 25 second penalty, but since I dislike McLaren, I'll take it0 -
Latest news on Alonso and where he may move, some reports are saying that he may switch to BMW next season for a long term (3 years) deal.
I'm guessing that Heidfelds job is on the line. Also a Kubica jump to Ferrari perhaps after Kimis contract ends. But too early to say I think.0 -

MrBrian wrote:Yeah Ross Brawn has been pretty public about him wanting Alonso with Honda for maybe 1 year. But I dunno if Alonso would go to them. But who knows, i'm sure Honda has the money.
I am not a fan of Alonso. I wouldn't mind seeing Kubica in a Ferrari though.
I think Massa should keep his seat.0 -
In other news, a return to the USA is being pushed for the 2010 season (Vegas?).

Yeah I checked that. I think a New York Street race would be nice, but I don't think that will happen. Vegas? errrr, sounds bad.
India has a race for 2010 right? I think it's a street course also.0 -

The article's author doesn't make a NYC street race sound too likely.
We'll see though.0 -
what a race
Rygar, the rain makes it much much more interesting.
the last five laps were brilliant
passing crashes strategyn thats whats its all about.
Hamilton was robbed. He was right on Kimi's ass when he ran the chicane.
And he did let Kimi back into position. Total BS. But what a finish in any event.
Kimi has had some bad luck, but Masa has been outperforming him all year.
I think Masa has a better car than Hamilton and as long as it doesnt rain, he should win the championship (the real reason Rygar doesnt want it to rain-if it does Masa is toast and so is ferrari)0
