If I read all the newspapers and reports right today....
Ross Ohlendorf, Jose Veras, & Chris Britton made the postseason roster.
Bruney and Ramirez were sent home.
Ohlendorf, Veras and Britton will join Joba, Mo, Villone, Vizciano, Farnsworth in the pen. 5 starters still on roster....Wang, Pettitte, Clemens, Mus, Hughes.
The right moves!! - anyone else here this??
Also any word on Ian Kennedy?PJ - 36

I believe Ohlendorf, Veras, Britton, and Villone are all in the mix for the final 2 bullpen spots. They all won't make it.0 -
Game times are in:
Thursday Yankees Indians 6:30 p.m. Wang (19-7) Sabathia (19-7)
Friday Yankees Indians 5:00 p.m. Pettitte (15-9) Carmona (19-8)
Sunday Indians Yankees 6:30 p.m. Westbrook (6-9) Clemens (6-6)
Monday Indians Yankees 6:00 p.m. Byrd (15-8) Mussina (11-10)
Wednesday Yankees Indians TBD
Times are different than usual to say the least. Beats the hell out of starting at 8:30 though. I'm sure all times are subject to change, depending on if other series are over0 -
It's too bad ramirez has such trouble throwing strikes. If he could keep teh walks down, he could be a huge asset. maybe next year0

There's still a chance he could try them for the AlCS if they advance. And I'm pretty sure they might be brought along to experience it.I miss igotid880 -

correct. it would give them 13 pitchers if they all made it, which would make no sense. joe has already said that they're going to be carrying 11.
forget about chris britton making the postseason roster. the team jet has a weight limit.
i'm rooting for ohlendorf to make it.0 -

it's not just the walks. he lacks command overall and has a tendency to leave his fastball in the middle of the plate. at 91 MPH, it's fast enough to compliment his great change. he just needs to locate it better.
he also needs to work on his slider. this or any other third pitch would be very helpful for him, because right now he's way too predictable.
a lot of scouts think he's gonna be very good when he figures it all out. but there's no reason to force him onto the postseason roster at this point.0 -

I also think he's too thin, which limits what he can do mechanically in terms of generating enough arm speed and force to properly locate the fastball.Reading 2004

he needs to start hanging out with chris britton.
or maybe that's what got him in trouble in the first place. there's only so much food to go around the SWB clubhouse.0 -

nah, edwar can't afford to eat there. he only makes about $360,000 a year.
i'll tell you though, that 42 oz porterhouse sounds good. they say it's for two... we'll see about that!
$88 is a lot of money for a steak though. i could damn near get a box seat for that price.0 -

Let me know if you'll be at Game 3 for sure. I'm sitting in Tier 18. I'm going to buy tickets for ALCS Home Game 2 from Stubhub in a few days.
I saw the Joba Rules shirt in Baltimore this weekend. I plan on getting one!0 -
Wow, 7 of ESPN's 10 experts are predicting the Indians will win the series. One of those so called experts is Steve Phillips (how's that Yanks won't make the postseason prediction, Steve) though, so we'll make it 6 out 9.0
-
I'm sure this is MLB mandated and not from the yankees, but do we really need "Yankees 2007 Wild Card" paraphanalia? I mean, c'mon! It's the yankees. Celebrating the wild card?0
-
odds are in, Yankees are 7-5 to win the AL pennant and 3-1 to win it all, the favorite. The Red Sox are 8-5 to win the AL, 7-2 to win the AL. The Rockies are the longshot at 20-1. The Cubs are 8-10

TIER 18?!?!
ticketmaster released tier 18 seats for the public sale after only LF bleacher seats were made available for the lottery sale?
wow. who should i be mad at about this? ticketmaster or the yankees?
i have a friend who ordered his tickets two days before i did because he has a partial season plan, and even he didn't get seats as good as tier 18.
well... congrats on that at any rate...0 -

5 out of 8 if we take out gammons too.

nobody who works for ESPN should ever be considered an expert under any circumstances.
harold reynolds was really good. that's probably why they fired him. :rolleyes:0
