Best poster of all time...No way, man. I really don't see anything special in it other than that it's very rare...but nothing strikes me as unique or special in the style. No real feel to it...Usually when you see a great piece of art you don't have think about it, you just know it. That's the way I feel, at east two cents worth.
Rock on you guysI can get you a toe by three o'clock...0 -

Lets get it right guys, the poster is a piece of art (doesnt do it for me) and is worth what the public are willing to pay. Prettyn simple really, I wouldnt pay personally, but hey people sure look prepared too.
To be honest thisn poster things is all crazy to me, I always wonder why the ames people dont just print a few more to stop people paying silly money, but then again its like saying why dont they paint a few more mona lisas to go round!!!!0 -
thats a nice poster!!!!0

$1,550 right now, multiply that by at least 3 for the final value...0

but not worth a grand
agreed.
however, like most things...it's 'worth' is too whomever is willing to pay the price. so if someone pays a grand for it, i would assume it's worth it to them. if they can afford it, good for them! i have better things to spend $1000 bucks on.as an artist tho, i appreciate the 'value' in it, even in reproducible arts.
Stay with me...

I did, however, buy and frame an unadulterated S/N A/P "Unnatural Resources" for about $60. I mean, who can resist hemp paper, after all?

I love me some EMEK.

That's what gets me about this print, it wasn't even originally made to be a Pearl Jam poster. Why pay an extra $1-3K just to have the band's name printed onto a reprint of an older poster?
Don't get me wrong, I think the original print is awesome. For a real pic of a typhoon wave that's incredibly similar check out picture 10 at (http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/asiapcf/10/07/china.typhoon.ap/index.html#cnnSTCPhoto). I'd love to have one of the originals on my wall, but I'd just be embarrassed at having paid over $3K (as some are suggesting) for it.Your reality, sir, is lies and balderdash and I’m
delighted to say that I have no grasp of it whatsoever.0 -

That is a big ass wave and was probably ten times bigger in real life since I'm sure that the picture does not do it justice**CUBS GO ALL THE WAY IN......never **0 -

With only a handful distributed, this poster is by far the rarest Pearl Jam poster ever made. With that said, it is not the best Pearl Jam or Emek poster ever. To me, Emek is king. His detail and inks are second to none. He is a pain in the ass to deal with and he is very unbusiness savy but his work still shows time and effort.
IMO:
Best emek ever. Look at the photos. When this print glows in the dark it gives its takes it to a whole different level.
