IMMONEN, LIFFITON REASSIGNED TO HARTFORD

New York Rangers President and General Manager Glen Sather announced today that center Jarkko Immonen and defenseman David Liffiton have been reassigned to the Hartford Wolf Pack of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Immonen, 24, has appeared in 14 games with the Rangers this season, recording one goal and five assists, along with four penalty minutes. After being recalled from Hartford (AHL) on February 27, Immonen has skated in three of the last five games, registering two assists for the Blueshirts.

In 36 games with Hartford this season, the 6-0, 210-pound center has collected 27 points (10 goals and 17 assists), along with 20 penalty minutes.

Liffiton, 22, has collected one goal and nine assists, along with 150 penalty minutes in 59 games with Hartford (AHL) this season. The 6-2, 210-pound defenseman did not dress in last night’s game against the New York Islanders after his emergency recall from Hartford on March 6.

"The ref obviously thought it was clean," Witt said of Hollweg's hit. "Maybe if there had been a call, it would have never escalated to that."

So it wasn't THAT bad and it was the refs fault. What a bum.

I'm actually a little surprised at Witts comments.
Sometimes, its better to just not say anything at all.
Sean Avery , Colton Orr. and Ryan Hollweg will have something- just for Witt- on 3/25 and on 4/2 .
Those games will take on even more significance ( regardless if we are still chasing a playoff spot, or not ) , thanks to the fuckface Simon . The Garden East ( MSG 2 ) wll be rocking and rolling those nights. Look forward to fianl 2 sellouts out on Hmpstd Tpke. :rolleyes:

Hey Bats and NY U guys know where da kid alligiance lies as well as see the game live Da kid never wants anyone to get hurt like dat.Never was a fan of Simon wished they still had Godard,but mosdef Simon def desevers to be suspended.Hell even though the bullshit no goal call he still cost us da game.Can't wait to see some real hockey people talk about it tonite with Fon Cherry on HNIC.These johnny come latelys (mike and the mad dog,Jim Rome,etc)(

3-2 Pittsburgh win in overtime. Hopefully the rangers don't have to play the penguins much more this season. They are just too powerful.

huge win today.

i'll say it again , Matt Cullen had better be involved in any shootouts we may be engaged in. It must be a really bitter pill for the Canes to swallow seeing one of their stars shine like he has in the red white and blue. ( especially in shootouts - and their being totally un-winnable in them )

so now if we are poised in a tie with the Canes, we have them by virtue of games won , and then the next tie- breaker , head to head records.

Nice to see Jagr put the icing on the cake- clinching the shootout victory forr our beloved Blueshirts

i think the right call was made by the video judges about that goal that popped in and around near the goalline, but :

black tape should be banned from the blades of any goaltenders sticks in the future.
