any chance I am given to domme up - I take. very self satisfying. :D

    and ahem Thread integrity!!!

we will jump that little road bump when we get there...but since it's been 2 years, first thing is first...check your closet for good date clothes...and then throw out anything that you think of as good date clothes since you have been up on blocks for 2 years....good underwear is the base that totally gives you a boost of self confidence, don't underestimate the mental power that wearing a good bra will give a woman.

    next...we deal with conversation...

haha I was just thinking that I'd really need a big trip to the ol' underwear store.

and yeah I have no good date clothes. my jeans all look like I snagged them from jeff ament's closet.

JEANS!!! argh - girl we need to work on you and fast!!!

Jeans are for when you are hangin' out...you should give a prospected partner at least ONE good "date" type of evening before you revert to jeans...just like they should wear a nice outfit at least once in a while...it keeps you thinkin linear.

now remember when getting a bra - the straps should not be doing any of the work!!! and get the size that fits - who CARES what the tag says.

hmmm...I've always worn dark "going out" jeans out on dates. I feel like I'm trying too hard in a skirt. this is boston, your feet stick to the floor in all the bars.

yeah I really need new bras, date or not!

'I want to hurry home to you
put on a slow, dumb show for you
    and crack you up
so you can put a blue ribbon on my brain
    god I'm very, very frightening
    and I'll overdo it'

    NOW we are talking...

I love bras. wearing a really good one will be a bit of an ego boost (not like THAT) more like pretty for myself, you know? but it has to be fully functioning...that is comfort is high on priority lists.

a nice pencil skirt would do well for you - length would have to be adjusted according to your height, but it is nice and polished without it being trampy (unless it is seriously too tight) and it should be as comfortable as dark jeans would be. Also with the shoe/feet thing - don't wear sandals - even heeled ones, those are hard to walk on a sticky floor. try something that has a ankle buckle (they are in this season anyway) and go with a serviceable chunk Square heel...not a wedge! a square heel.

I'm going to have to agree with this... jeans are kind of like cell phones, not first date material.

    Also-
where are you hanging out that your feet stick to the floor??
    Might be time to upgrade..

hmm I don't know about pencil skirts. I have a very round gut and a lot of curves. and I've always seen pencil skirts as very business-like. It's not very "me." Plus, don't they say on What Not to Wear that chunky women should wear things that flow away from the body?

    In my neighborhood :)
(which I think is also the neighborhood of the person I asked out)

guys like girls who would rather go to the neighborhood pub, don't they?
  • Wow, skirts? Bra's? Speaking of comfort zones, I'm waaaaaaay out of mine.

You should just try dressing like yourself and being yourself, and if he doesn't like that, fuck him (not literally) You don't need to change for anyone, especially someone that gives you a business card.

    Cheers!!!!!
I'll end up alone like I began...

Most if not all of the guys I know are like that. Sometimes its nice to go just a tiny bit more upscale (but definitely not swanky) for the first couple of dates. The Silvertone is good for that.

yeah you have no idea. when a girl gets a date with a new guy, the very first thing she does is buy new underwear. it's not necessarily just in case he ends up seeing it, it's that it sort of signifies to yourself that you're a girl, trying to get with a guy.

and yes I agree about being yourself :)

yeah it's more about ourselves...not like black lace and leather shit that hurts...it's about pretty and NICE underwear that are secret confidence boosters.

Chunky? like how chunky ( you can PM me if you aren't comfy with this topic)

I don't think that What Not to Wear is a very good source. they want every plus woman to wear drapey stuff...that totally dates you and says "HI! I think I am fat!"

I like pencil skirts because if you have hips they make them go POW...and I have a butt too! (well normally I do)

you can wear them with a shirt and cardigan for a crisp look...or with a shell/cardigan...always go wtih a thin cardigan tho - so you don't add bulk

It's downtown, at the end of Franklin, before Tremont. Good place.

Definitely won't stick to the floor in there- and I'm pretty sure the girls who hang there won't try to STEAL YOUR dude!! WTF is up with that?? My God!!
