Mind influences mind, but not physical objects.
Well yeah if your brain takes damage directly it's a somewhat of a catch 22 scenario. The power to control within is much stronger than outwards.Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

What word is not eternally unstable and in intertextual freeform multidialogic play with every alternating, alternative and altar-hallowed context of discourse in which it has been uttered? What word, a signifier without a signified (since the word signified is nothing by a signifier) relates to a fact, since the word fact is just another signifier without a signified, even more so now we know the word signified relates less to fact than that last time I used fact relates to anything but the context in which I just used the word fact...

Ok those guilty own up....
"Solipsism syndrome is a state of mind in which a person begins to feel that everything is a dream and is not real.
Solipsism is a philosophical theory that everything is in the imagination, and there is no reality outside one's own mind. As a philosophical theory it is interesting because it is internally consistent and, therefore, cannot be disproved. But as a psychological state, it is highly uncomfortable. The whole of life becomes a long dream from which an individual can never wake up. Even friends are not real, they are a part of the dream. A person may feel very lonely and detached, and eventually becomes apathetic and indifferent."

I read every word you said, but it smells more like bullshit than brilliance.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire0 -

You should read up on deconstructionist philosophy then, or start by reading up on some basic textbook philosophy, to begin with. What you got treated to was a practical exercise in what Jacques Derrida called Différance. Note the spelling.

I demonstrated to you how words interoperate to defer meaning (fact), and how they differ semantically according to context. I was showing you that given the eternal instability of language, it is impossible to make a word (a signifier - c'mon, you know some basic Saussure, right, or you wouldn't be having a conversation of this sort?) a direct reflection of a signified (the real object), because language is always at a distance from reality.
Incidentally, a common misreading of Derrida is that he was denying reality. He wasn't. He was only showing that language is nothing to do with reality and can't begin to "represent" it.
You've got to get up pretty early in the morning to catch me.0 -

I've never read any of this stuff. But I understand. Because: I have a 72 IQ.

He means nuts in any fucking language, if you ask me, but I thought I'd stir the pot. The fucking education has to come in handy occasionally.0 -

There is an anime called Serial Experiments Lain that deals with this question. You should check it out on youtube, it would be right up your alley.
Anyway, I would say if the answer is yes, then that is proof there is a god.0 -
