Not having a go at you at all. It's just it never ceases to amaze me some people would choose the rights of an embryo that cannot support itself over that a fully functioning sexually mature female. And still not having a go at you but it makes me really angry when men, who will never have to make the decision one way or another think they have the right to dictate what I and other women will do with our bodies. When embryos can support themselves and or men can carry a pregnancy to full term then I might be more able to consider their opinion on this. My body, my choice. When it's your body it's your choice. AND people, both men and women, need to understand that the outcome of sex CAN in some cases result in pregnancy and perhaps a discussion about possible outcomes needs to happen before they get down and dirty together. Embryos are not babies. AND embryos deserve the right to be allowed to grow into a baby in a body that wants them there. Not trying to negate you. It just makes my blood boil when some people try to hijack a personal decision. If CorporateWhore and his pals really want to do some good in this world then how about looking after the children that are born in horrific circumstances to a life of misery? Or, gee, I don't know maybe spending a bit of their misguided energies on making sure that both males and females are properly educated in how to avoid being in a situation where they have to make this decision in the first place. But I understand what you are saying. It is a very difficult decision to have to make and I guess I can only say, be grateful you'll never have to make it. Hope you don't feel I'm earbashing you. This topic just really makes me cross! Not you or your comments. The topic.

    Stop with the crap.

This is about Roe v. Wade and whether it was constitutional jurisprudence.

i guess the question revolves around the decision to close your legs, drive to the drug store, or "kill" (if you believe that) an embryo. decisions decisions. let convenience prevail.
And you ask me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days
Cuz I don't need boxes wrapped in strings
And desire and love and empty things

Then why is it called "The march for Life"?
I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire

Why does it happen on the anniversary of Roe v. Wade??? Why don't you get back to playing poker because you are out of your element, donny.

Look enjoy this while you have the chance kid. Fact is that there's been a huge swing against George and his religious cronies and if you really want to fight to get rid of Roe v. Wade then I say MARCH!! Give it your best shot because there is going to be a backlash against this religious monopoly sooner rather than later. And fact is you are in the minority anyway. So dance away!! I can't be bothered arguing with you and if you really want to look at some crap I suggest you read back over your posts. The board is littered with your verbal diarrohea!
    NOPE!!!

Do you realize there isn't that big of a gap in religious people voting for Bush vs. Gore or Kerry? (Fiorina 2001) Of course you don't b/c the media hypes up this religious bullshit.

That's what I thought. You can't defend Roe v. Wade either.

    Anybody else?

Looks like Roe v. Wade can constitutionally be overturned based on the debate in this thread.

Abortion is legal and should be available to anyone who requires it under any circumstances. There is nothing "convenient" about being in a situation where you have to choose abortion over carrying a pregnancy to term. Abortion is just a surgical procedure. In most cases no more than a dilatation and curettage, the same procedure used to treat gynaecological problems in women. Perhaps we should all get up in arms and start protesting that removing cancer is "killing" a living organism and therefore immoral.

For someone who claims to be a member of a Parish, you sure have a lot of contempt towards your fellow man.

From where does this come?........are you a member of a Parish because you can't find any other sort of fellowship?

Can you not simply go out and make friends in the secular world?

to me, abortion seems all about convenience...given all the other options.

and trust me...this isn't a sexist issue to me...i haven't wanted to be a father...and guess what...I'm NOT! wow. trust me, i'm not some pro-life walker, or even some zealot on the issue...but i think it's really pathetic that it would ever come down to that for someone. personal responsibility comes a long way...and yes, i think defining the point where life begins comes from conveniences.....just my take.

Actually most of the country is religious, not secular.

You should try going out and making friends in the religious world, b/c most of the world is religious too. Haha

Only making friends in your own religion will just make you more narrow minded.

Look Purple Hawk, I have no idea what you will all decide in America. But I do know that there has been a huge monopoly about the whole abortion debate here in Australia brought to us courtesy of Little Johnny and Tony Bloody Abbott and they are losing ground. Their religious and political ideology has been too closely linked to your Presidents for far too long. They have been hijacking the parliament with it. AND people here have had enough. Church and state should be separate. And a women's right to choose is and should continue to be enshrined in law. Now it may not happen there. But it will be happening here. Well nothing will change here.

Haha, a "woman's right to suck those brains out of her baby's head should continue to be enshrined in law." oops! I mean 'choose.'

Continue aborting your population, Australia. It's not getting any bigger if you noticed. Yep, your birthrate is dying too. There won't be any white people there anymore because the people coming in won't abort their babies! We conservatives ALWAYS win!

    Haha
