Yeah, but it's Newspoll isn't it?
It's all gonna get down to those 22 seats they reckon.
But it looks like I'm gonna have to vote Labor even though I don't want to.
Anyway, I'm resigned to the fact that we'll never bit rid of the stupid old bastard and that even if we are we're gonna be stuck with Peter Costello and Tony Abbott and pissy little Alex Downer FOREVER!!! :(

    **sigh**

Its good in that the people who were thinking Labor was going to win by a large margin and were hesitating to vote for them or for a party giving their preferences to them will get assured.

It'll be funny to see those three whiners on the opposition crying foul and feeling bad when they think of how they once had the power. It wont be funny if we see them in power once again!

Oh I've never thought they'd win. Truly.

Johnny and co have got more lives than a cat and seeing as how I STILL can't believe he was voted in originally way way way back in the day, I've never been able to get my head around the fact he keeps getting in. But now I'm just resigned to putting up with the little sod. But then I think Kev is pretty much the same shoe different foot anyway.

I guess we're not gonna know till tonight. And if it's close maybe not till tomorrow.
    NOPE!!!

You should vote even if you cast in an empty one or one that says "does it really make a difference".. you don't wanna pay $50 for nothing

My fathers electorate is hardcore liberal.. not a chance in hell it will ever go to Labor or anyone else for that matter but I might as well amuse myself.

At this point in time I would of put Pol Pot in front of the Liberals if it meant less chance of them winning.

So Bennelong is shaping up to be a tighter fight than I first thought it would be!

And looks like Labor is going to win!

You got to love those guys on from The Chasers war on everything..

    http://news.ninemsn.com.au/minisite/election_article.aspx?id=305478&sectionid=6046&sectionname=minisiteelection

The Chaser's Charles Firth, working for the Nine Network, caused a flurry in the tally room when he approached Liberal senator Bill Heffernan with an oversized cardboard copy of the notorious fake Muslim letter.

Senator Heffernan became agitated with Firth, grabbed the novelty letter and made an attempt to tear it. As a huge media pack gathered around the pair, Senator Heffernan appeared to calm down and had a brief conversation with Firth.

Chaser make their mark on Election '07
    Saturday Nov 24 22:00 AEDT

The Chaser satirical crew have carved their usual anarchic path through election proceedings today.

Costume-loving stuntman Chas Licciardello crashed the main election night Liberal Party function in Sydney dressed as a unionist.

Soon after it became clear Labor was headed for election victory, Licciardello raced into the Sofitel Wentworth ballroom with a moustache and bright yellow safety jacket and called: "You losers!"

"You beauty! Big Joe's back in town!" he called, referring to West Australian unionist Joe McDonald.

Security quickly nabbed him and shoved him violently out a door.

"Don't remove me, I only just came back!" Licciardello, from ABC TV's The Chaser's War on Everything, screamed as he was pushed out a back door.

In the ruckus camera tripods were knocked over and laptop computers were knocked off a desk.

Charles Firth, working for Nine, caused a flurry in the tally room when he approached Liberals senator Bill Heffernan with an oversized cardboard copy of the notorious fake Muslim letter distributed in Lindsay.

Senator Heffernan became agitated with Firth, grabbed the novelty letter and made an attempt to tear it.

As a huge media pack gathered around the pair, Senator Heffernan appeared to calm down and had a brief conversation with Firth.

And insult was added to injury for embattled Liberal candidate Karen Chijoff today when she was ambushed by Licciardello over the bogus leaflets scandal.

Ms Chijoff was in a car leaving a polling station in the marginal seat of Lindsay when Licciardello — this time wearing the Osama bin Laden costume made famous when the Chaser breached APEC security in September — made his entrance.

He forced some of the infamous bogus pamphlets produced by Chijoff's husband Greg and outgoing MP Jackie Kelly's partner Greg Clark onto a horrified Greens campaigner before setting upon the Liberal candidate.

"Have some leaflets, Karen," Licciardello said through the car's passenger window to Chijoff.

"You guys have done such a great job handing out these leaflets you should finish the job."

Chijoff voiced an inaudible objection, but this only gave Licciardello more rope.

"You don't know where they came from? I know what you mean, I had nothing to do with them either!" he said as Chijoff's car started to move down the street.

"Come back, Karen — no one has understood the Bali bombers for years!"

hopefully, canadians will realize we are out of step!! ... and soon we will move back to the left ...

now, we can't use australia as another reason to not act on climate change!

this is exciting news (although honestly, i don't know enough of rudd) - climate change and troop withdrawl are good foundation for a campaign!

only problem here is that the 65% of the population that lean left are splitting their votes amongst 4 parties ... :(
