I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire0

the religious divide here is WAY overstated. it's mostly based on stereotypes.
Yep it's pretty much the same here, in terms of media portrayal. And I agree that the information we receive here about the religious divide in America has been way overstated. I have been greatly encouraged by the points of view I've found here on the board.Thankfully people can still communicate on the internet and bypass the line they are feeding us. Seems to be a sign of the times.
Purple Hawk wrote:to tell you the truth, i really don't care all that much about the abortion debate but I find that the Democrats over here are completely obsessed about it...so much so that they distort issues like embryionic stem cells vs adult stem cells...so much so that some manipulated poster residing in the horrible state of NJ actually said that embryionic stem cells are the ones that actualy work...when actually they have produced 0 cures, while adult stem cells have produced 72 cures.
both sides of the abortion debate raise an eyebrow, but the anti-life wing seems so agitated at little things like that, that it raises some suspiscion.
I think the whole issue of life and what constitutes life has, and always will be an emotive issue, prone to agitation and misrepresentation on both sides of the debate. It would be really good if we could all somehow find a way to wade through it all and come up with solutions that benefit everyone.NOPE!!!

Someone's practicing for the Miss Australia Q&A.All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.

I'm going to shoot those out with my trusty right-wing extremist firearm. As you know, being the typical right-wing fanatic, I have an arsenal in my bedroom right next to my lifesize portrait of Ronald Reagan and Augusto Pinochet. All I know is that to see, and not to speak, would be the great betrayal.

Purple Hawk wrote:these incidents you raise are rare, and I can see the case for abortion in each of them.. and i actually am pro-abortion in here...but trust me..they are less than 1% of all abortions....but be that as it may...to be philosophical....
say someone on the street gives you a package and says that within 6 months, this will be a human being...you have the decision...
what choice do you make?
I would choose to find someone to care for the package. And if I couldn't find anyone to care for the package I would take the package to a clinic with all the other packages and I would leave it with them. IF I was able to feed, cloth and care for the human being in the package I would but that is not the case for me and would be unfair and unreasonable for me to try.NOPE!!!

That's a pretty good answer. My answer was an obvious shock response. But your answer is better.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. So you are the owner of the thread now and I have to be welcomed as a guest by you to comment. Boy! Why does the phrase "Young, dumb and full of cum" keep resounding in my brain everytime you are around?NOPE!!!

I'm in 3rd now and guaranteed to get at least 5th with 5 remaining. 5th place is worth $42.56 and I spent $5 getting into the tourny. So I'm happy either way

Jeanie wrote:Not having a go at you at all. It's just it never ceases to amaze me some people would choose the rights of an embryo that cannot support itself over that a fully functioning sexually mature female. And still not having a go at you but it makes me really angry when men, who will never have to make the decision one way or another think they have the right to dictate what I and other women will do with our bodies. When embryos can support themselves and or men can carry a pregnancy to full term then I might be more able to consider their opinion on this. My body, my choice. When it's your body it's your choice. AND people, both men and women, need to understand that the outcome of sex CAN in some cases result in pregnancy and perhaps a discussion about possible outcomes needs to happen before they get down and dirty together. Embryos are not babies. AND embryos deserve the right to be allowed to grow into a baby in a body that wants them there. Not trying to negate you. It just makes my blood boil when some people try to hijack a personal decision. If CorporateWhore and his pals really want to do some good in this world then how about looking after the children that are born in horrific circumstances to a life of misery? Or, gee, I don't know maybe spending a bit of their misguided energies on making sure that both males and females are properly educated in how to avoid being in a situation where they have to make this decision in the first place. But I understand what you are saying. It is a very difficult decision to have to make and I guess I can only say, be grateful you'll never have to make it. Hope you don't feel I'm earbashing you. This topic just really makes me cross! Not you or your comments. The topic.
very well said. i'm a male, but have had some female friends who have had to make the difcicult decision to have an abortion. it's not an easy one to live with, but for them it was a necessary one to make.0 -

I choose not to engage in conversation with GutYouLikeABarroomWhore because he is childish and uninformed, and often resorts to borderline-racist statements. He's an attention-seeking little boy and I'm not about to indulge him. Perhaps you and I could discuss it another time.
well said, hippiemom. i'm still trying to figure out which previously banned poster this is. his nonsense sounds all too familiar.0
