It only comes off that way because of your own opinion on the matter. The way he said it by no means tried to show that God somehow made the colts win. You are more or less attributing an idea to him that he clearly did not say. Thats your shortcoming, not his.

Played college ball as well. The point was that you take from football (and any sport or group activity) what you want. I learned tons of good things from sports that I apply everyday as a professional in the business world. If someone only sees "lawful savages" that's because that's all they chose to find.

Anytime they thank God, it's not because they are thanking him for the outcome of game. They are thanking Him for blessing them with the lives they have. When you are successful and you thank God for it, you concede that you could not be what you are without Him. It's an act of humility before God's love.

Not everyone believes in the same "God".

Not everyone believes in "God", period.

If you want to call up "Logic". "Logic" dictates, that which can not be seen, touched, felt or proven to exist; does not exist. That's logic.

Don't confuse Faith and Logic.

She is talking about the "logic" that if a person believes in God, then that person might thank him for what that person perceives as blessings in their life. You guys are making way to much of this.

I'm afraid that you're confused....and I've confused nothing; and never said that anyone believes in one God or any God, period....

I refered to the *logic* of CorporateWhore's reasonable statement; not the logic of faith. Simple. No confusion on my part.

And if someone chooses not to see the savagery in football, it's also because they choose not to see it. No one said that's all there is to it, but it's certainly there. It's a good game, I enjoy watching it, but it IS savage ... that is not to say that you don't also learn other things by playing.

Savagery may be part of the game but if that's what you get out of the game then that's your problem. Much like sweating may be part of sex it's sure not what I take away from it.

I think it's actually hillarious that his comments really get so many people upset. We have reached a point of sensitivity that has far-crossed the line of the absurd. I think it's funny that people are actually offended and become uncomfortable b/c someone mentions God or even...*gasps* J.C! I mean, how dare someone shove their beliefs down our throats! *rolls eyes*
