Yup. Kate is indeed a goddess. I highly recommend checking out some Chris Brown & Kate Fenner albums. Also if you can find it, check out her solo album "Horses and Burning Cars". It's great stuff! For more info, go here:

Check out the song of the day over at the Hip's homepage. "On the Verge" from the Phoenix in Toronto. F**kin' brilliant! I love how they speed up like crazy at the end.

BeerBaron wrote:I bought "World Container" a few weeks ago just because of the reviews I had read on it. I have not liked the Hip's past few albums and I haven't bought one in years (Henhouse is the most recent purchase I think).
All I can say is WOW. This CD is brilliant.
"World Container" is an unbelievable song. "In View", "Yer Not The Ocean", "Love (sic)", "The Drop Off", etc, etc, etc. The great songs just never end on this CD. Unreal.
Thanks to all those who recommended it in this thread!
You're welcome! Glad to see that you've re-acquainted yourself with the Hip."I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce. Hey gang. Since today is the 17th anniversary of the horrific events that took place in Montreal in 1989, I figured the following link is especially appropriate. Please take a moment today to remember.

An awful thing, my ex-husbands name, before he was adopted as a young child was Adam Marc Lépine. It is completely different since his adoption, but the gunman listed above was named Marc Lépine. I used to wonder if they were related. If it weren't for the story my ex told me about his name, I would have never heard of the massacre. My ex is Canadian, btw.Just me0 -

Anybody here planning on seeing the Hip open for The Who this spring in the U.S.? Personally I think I'm gonna wait until they announce their own headlining tour of the U.S. before I plan any border crossings. I'd love to follow the band down the west coast. I've always wanted to do something like that, but I've never had the cash."I try my best to chug, stomp, weep, whisper, moan, wheeze, scat, blurt, rage, whine, and seduce.
