You're welcome! :) It is a very informative website...I've been reading so much from there as of late. However, it's kinda too bad they stopped playing it though. It's such a good song...kinda along the lines of Wheat Kings for me.

Hmmm I really gotta check out the setlist there, do you know how far back does it go?

incredibly, it goes all the way back to '87...but as i said, there are a few missing. a couple of the shows i've seen aren't there.

Hmm I see it now...they don't have the setlist for the earlier days too. It's still quite amazing nonetheless, since it goes back to '87! Must've taken a lot of work...

The Copperpenny Restaurant gig ain't there and that was way back in '85. Hence Psychadelic Ramblings is sort of non-existent on that other list.

That would be the lovely and insanely talented Kate Fenner:

She and multi-instrumentalist Chris Brown toured with the Hip in 2000. They would open the show, and then join the Hip on stage as auxiliary musicians, sort of like when Boom Gaspar joined Pearl Jam on the Riot Act tour.

Chris & Kate started out in the highly influential Toronto band The Bourbon Tabernacle Choir and then later moved on as a duo after the Bourbons split up. If anybody is interested, you can find out more about their music here:

Thanks direwolf! Her voice is really lovely. I gotta say...I'm loving this version...it gives it a whole different kind of feeling with the female presence there.

With her in Flamenco...oh that would be so perfect!

Some official News from the Hip Website: (And I'm sure this was sent through email today)

TTH First in Line Ticket Announcement

We are very happy to introduce our ‘First In Line’ ticket service for registered users of http://www.thehip.com

How it works is, when The Tragically Hip are touring, as a benefit and perk to registered users of http://www.thehip.com an allotment of tickets for most North American shows will be available for purchase before the tickets are available to the public. Each registered user is limited to four (4) tickets for each show made available. Please note that each show’s allotment is finite, so not every order is guaranteed to be filled. For a full list of rules and regulations please read the ticket policy.

To launch the ‘First In Line’ service, on Friday February 17th, at 10:00am, sales are open to registered users of http://www.thehip.com for the band’s yet to be announced to the public, (let alone on sale to the public), show in Toronto at the beautiful downtown setting of Historic Fort York on Saturday June 24, 2006. Joining The Hip for the show will be The Weakerthans and The Sadies.

As we anticipate demand for these tickets to be fast and furious, and the tickets are sold on a first come, first serve basis, you are encouraged to become a registered user today, so when 10:00am rolls around on Friday morning, you can simply log in, click and purchase knowing you have tickets before the show is both announced and on sale to the public. In other words, allow time for your registration at http://www.thehip.com to be processed fully, which involves an email to you and you confirming.

Hope everyone is enjoying the Song Of The Day feature on the site. So far response has been great and stay tuned for more exciting content related announcements soon.

    Das Hip

So far they've all been A+ quality soundboard recordings.

Hmm...the Hipbase forum has been down for the past day or so. They must be doing some renovations. In other news, Canada is currently getting their asses handed to them by the Swiss in Olympic hockey. Although I'm sure all those Swiss power plays have helped. C'mon Canada, get your asses in gear and stay out of the freakin' box!

I've always wanted one of those, but they're damn expensive.
