    I agree.

If they could go so far as to tell us which US states are being played, like all at one time, that would be helpful. I'm not going to buy tickets to a Cali show if they're playing in Colorado or Arizona. Or...gasp....New Mexico. (ha ha, good one)

So if they do announce they are working on confirming dates in Europe/various US States, what happens if, for example, they are planning dates in New York and the UK. New Yorkers are cool - they will have a date. UK people are cool too - they will have a date, so no plans to travel made. BUT as these dates would only have been 'planned', things can still fall through. Say UK falls through once dates are confirmed (usually tix go on sale quite quickly after that).... can you imagine the mayhem on this board? There would be no end to complaints....
they can just say it's not 100%.
and we'll know if it doesn't happen before either dates happen... it's much easier to make a last minute trip (there's ALWAYS tickets to be found), than cancelling one (on which you can't get flights and tickets refunds).

by the look of the tweet, seems the point is moot this time and they're going to do Europe first (I don't think there should be any doubt in anybody's mind that there'll be US dates besides the 2 festivals).

Still, when they announce Europe on Monday, they should at least confirm there'll be US dates in say the SW and West Coast, even if they're not listing them..just for the yanks peace of mind (and east coaster in particular that might be tempted to rough it up with us here if they don't have local shows.. you're welcome guys  ).
simply a "West Coast and Southern US dates to be announced in a few weeks" at the end would be appreciated.

    +1

They should give those of us in the USA and Canada a heads up that they will be touring North America after they are done with Europe.

You guys are off point (High Fidelity and Vedder girl). The subject of the post is "tell us about all the touring regions at once". I believe the threadstarter meant - regions of the US. You know, so we're not all flying our assess around the country needlessly (for those of us with economic concerns). What I'm looking for in particular - and what was hopefully the intent of the threadstarter - is NAMES OF CITIES ALL AT ONCE. I think those in other countries are probably looking for the same.

So here's a Sat morning bump for 10C treating us with some consideration during this depressed economic time in our country.....

TWEET IT ALL AT ONCE 10C!!

I don't think so.. besides, the OP lives in U.K. :) -- and we have economic concerns here in Europe too u know... ;)

But yes... It would be great to know more about their touring plans...so that all of us could make some plans of our own about where to go.. how to travel etc. :)

    I agree to this.

Whilst it is most fun for 10c to keep increase our agony of waiting and then releasing info bit by bit ( ), it does affect money and travel plans.

Announce all countries that are being planned all at once. Please. Thanks. :)

i would like to tour with the euro crew again, and do some us dates!
want to work out the best way to do it, however, sadly euro dates may be missed
    2003 - Sydney x3,
    2006 - Reading Festival,
2007 - Katowice, London, Nijmegen, Rock Werchter,
    2008 - MSG x2, Hartford, Mansfield x2, Beacon Theater,
    2009 - Melbourne, Sydney,
2010 - I watched it go to fire!
    2011 - EV Brisbane x3, Newcastle, Sydney x3,
    2012 - Manchester x 2, Amsterdam x2, Prague, Berlin x2, Stockholm, Oslo, Copenhagen,
    2014 - Sydney, EV Sydney x3

I wave to all my Friends... Yeah!
  • I love this idea. Especially now, when money is tight, it'd be nice to know if there were shows playing down the street from us before we travel to a another country. I understand they can't give city/venue names or dates, but say "PJ/EV planning US tour, or Canada, Australia, Europe, etc..." would help a LOT! ;)

Can we get a confirmation that :

    a) that's it for Europe and you're not going to start randomly dates (so we can start planning the travel)
    B) there's US dates coming to be announced later (to reassure the North americans)

    1. do you really think they'd add more dates after the announcement today? that seems a pretty bad stretch, even for 10c. ;) seems there's rumors that they may return to europe later in the year, but i personally would think it's safe to figure your travel for the 4 shows in august.

    2. dunno about my fellow NAs, but i am fairly assured there will be some shows between SF and ACL. but you bet i'd love to see some tweet that included some east coast love. :D

    3. i am curious what the plans are for later in the year - will more eruo shows happen....SA.....oz......? wonder, wonder, wonder.............

They did it in '06 for US dates. I don't see why they couldn't/wouldn't want to do it again. It's a great way to drum up excitement and encourage impulse buys...kind of like that candy bar at the check out line. ;)

    did they? i don't recall.......
yes, i know they announced other LEGS later, but the question was/is surrounding these 4 dates in europe. given that they have to be in SF for august 28th weekend, doesn't give em much time to work with....and seriously WHY would they announce 4 shows in august for europe, and then add say 4 more? even for 10c, that's a big stretch. b/c seriously, that's just ASKing for pissed off fans, and mini tour announcements should be to make fans joyous. :P course, i could be wrong..........

anyhoo, i am 100% a full supporter of the whole idea of announcing all tour dates at once. it would be GREAt to know their plans for the rest of 2009, early 2010 - if anything is in the works. it really is not all that far off....

    this...

Starting August 13 in Rotterdam and ending August 18 in London

    sounds pretty definitive to me.
as i said, sure, they may add more legs....especially given the rumors already around that they will return to europe in the autumn or early winter. but for 'right now'...i'd say it's safe to make travel plans around these 4 dates.

i do wish they'd announce ALL LEGS at once....but i don't think we're going to see tht happen again any time soon, sadly.......

I really believe PJ is done touring extensively! They all have young children now so they don't want to be away from their families for very long. Anyone remember Jeff's interview only about a month ago? He said "We are trying to figure out a way to get to Europe sometime within the next 18 months." To me this sounds like they have their next 18 months planned out. Either because they plan on doing a bunch of touring in other places or they don't plan on doing very much touring at all over the next 18 months. I think they figured the only way they could get to Europe within that time frame was to go in August. I think this tour was a last minute decision and was thrown together pretty quickly. Ed's tour in June to early July and they have to be back for the late August show in San Fran with more US dates in September.

4 shows only is a bit thin.. and I don't mean it as a complain, just that it seems barely worth the trip for them...that's why I'm worried (I'm not putting much substance in the later euro dates...though if there is substance to it I'd very much like to know before the US dates!! don't want to blow all my moneys on US shows and none left for more europe.. :? )

oh i agree....i think it's downright odd, especially for such an environmentally conscious band. 4 shows hardly seems worth the time/effort/expense of going over, especially BEFORE the album release. add in the possibility of them going back to europe for more shows, while sure...will make many fans quite happy, it all just seems quite puzzling..... tho i will say, i DO imagine a full tour to support the new album b/c THAt would be truly bizarre if it didn't happen! thus the whole 'no shows in 2010' just doesn't seem to 'fit' well with the album release, but perhaps a smallish tour autumn and early winter, into 2010....then off spring and summer.....and then maybe more shows late summer and then fall, winter late 2010. i am really really hoping for oz late 2010. 8-)
