Nice Secret Path tribute show in Toronto this past weekend. Lottsa special guests showed up to honor the man.
I lost it when The Chief talked about Gord and his wish and legacy. So proud.0 -
I'm really, really hoping for some unreleased music sometime soon. up until the 3 1/2 years between the last two albums, each break has been 2-3 years only between records. and we're at 3 1/2 years right now.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0

I’m just concerned about the quality of said unreleased material. I’m sure there is a bunch of stuff but if it’s all leftover filler from the past albums I’ll pass.
I woukd like to see the live vault releases come back.0 -

last night Big Wreck played 1 and a half Hip songs. a very slow half version of Ahead By A Century, then later on the full song In View. Was really really good.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0

and just because a track gets left off an album, in my opinion, doesn't mean necessarily it's no good. look at Lost Dogs. as ed said, many times it's just "one of these things is not like the other".Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0

I don't know if I'd call any of their material filler. And still, just because it's left off an album doesn't mean it's filler. It might just not fit.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0

either way, I'll be stoked if they put out some type of box set or something of rarities and maybe another dvd or something. But I do also like your idea of the live vault. Would love to hear songs from the shows I was at. I have two, but not the best quality.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0

The early albums had no filler at all. Good from start to finish. Mid-Hip and on Is where I’m experiencing some filler.
world container I find to be a great one tho.
music at work, violet light, now for plan a, man machine Poem, phantom power are the albums I feel have some good moments surrounded by meh0 -
Anyone have a good source for bootlegs other than Nugs, which only has 3 shows?0

Worth tracking down on sharing sites.
That link in the post above me is a good source of bootlegs.0 -
"Grace Too" on SNL in 1995 is one of the best live performances ever recorded on television. I never tire of this one.

agreed, brian. and if there was ever a movie made about gord, sheldon from big bang theory would be a dead ringer.Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall0

I've got those vault shows in mp3 but would love to find FLAC of them. Also, Live Between Us is a great official release.

Gord Sinclair is on Episode 520 of Vish Khanna’s Kreative Kontrol Podcast promoting his new album.I haven’t listened yet, but he talks about The Hip’s final tour and potential for unreleased material. Vish is a great interviewer so it should be a good listen.0

If anyone is going to see The Trews on their little tour next month get there early. Gord Sinclair is opening up, should be good.0
