The Hip were big in Canada, but not so big anywhere else. There's only so many places to play here, and how many times you can tour them. I'm guessing they had a decent amount of money, but maybe not a lifetime supply of it? Now, trying to find other ways to generate cash flow? That's going to be hard, live shows is the best way to earn a living :(They did, but they could only play big venues in Canada and usually only in the big cities. Even then, I saw them do theatre shows here and there in Canada. There's only so many places to play here. Most of the time outside of Canada was playing theatres and clubs. I feel like they made a modest amount of cash, but not on the same level of bands who can play arenas/stadiums worldwide. It is rough seeing bands hawk merch, but the thing bands make the least amount of money on now is music, which is even sadder :(

Ha no problem, gotta stay positive in these strange days
And me too. An outdoor Hip show next spring would be the perfect way to move forward once all this COVID stuff is over. The only Hip shirt I own was from my first Hip show back in 1995 in Red Deer, Alberta on the Day for Night tour. I wish I could buy a shirt from one of the shows I'd been to, it's an awesome idea!!

What a pleasant surprise after the announcement about the movies. I know they've been teasing it but looking forward to checking this out.

2 songs are up on Apple Music now. Very impressive.
Something about when I hear Gord sing these last few years. He sounds so damn alive, from the old songs to new.0
