A REALLY AWESOME PERSON bought me A super RARE tortoise today. It's so cute.
I had to make a habitat for it. I'm so HAPPY!!!
What will I name it?
It's not everyday that you get a turtle/tortoise... the others (turtles) are green with envy because they feel not as special. They are too stupid to know they are super special.
I can't wait for the day they all get the super bad ass out door pen they deserve and breed again.
can we have a what DIDNT make your day ...
woke up 45 mins in hospital followed by 5 mins in car before the clutch went and had to nurse car to garage cant be sorted til tuesday £600 BAD DAY ..
got phone call car ready by friday £440 NOT SO BAD A DAY apart from the ££s lol
It was really unexpected: these exams are pretty tough.
There's a keen competition. We were basically around 1400 for 120 jobs. I passed the first exam (a written one). Only 360 qualified for the second exam (an oral session: a class sequence to elaborate with a document I was given and an oral account of an audio file. I had to synthesize it and to link it to close topics that seemed to me to be relevant enough to be mentioned).
Actually, it's difficult to explain how it works. You have traditional exams at the university, it's what we refer as "examens" (in French) but, in this situation, it's a "Concours" (some kind of competitive examination).
You never know what the Jury really wants to hear, the system is really opaque.

Félicitations! Concours are so bloody hard.
A suprise Skype from a lovely friend I haven't seen/spoken to in a long time made my all fuzzy inside
I was pretty pissed off at Comcast, I have been dealing with a shitty modem for the last month and tried to exchange it for a new one several times, more recently, Monday. Well the guy at the Comcast store basically said that I was SOL for internet-there were out of stock on modems. So I called Comcast, told them I wasn't happy, and they are sending me a new one-along with free Showtime.
I also ordered a new modem from amazon on Monday just to see which company was faster at getting me a new modem...the winner is amazon!
Now when I get the one from Comcast, I'm going back to the store and telling the guy there where he can stick it.

It is indeed bloody hard. I haven't done anything but worked on it the past ten months (except for my job, of course).
This is a relief!!!
I was so demoralized after the oral session: I was convinced I had completely failed. It's been a huge surprise when I saw the results on the net.

I'm going to Soundgarden next weekend. What a surprise?
I never thought I would get a chance to see them.
I already have a full case load and I haven't made the switch to FT yet. *sigh of relief*
