Contractor guy just stopped by to do an estimate for the dishwasher install...he said the tile work was 'beautiful'. When I told him I was the one who installed it, he was amazed and complimented me on it. Said "most contractors don't even really take the time to do something well, I go to a lot of houses every day and this is a really nice job"
That was my first try at tiling a countertop.
The joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.
The area between my house and deck stairs is 28 inches wide and 12 feet long. For the past 16 years, i have applied mulch to this area. Nothing grows there, not even weeds. Edit to add---every fall, I rake away 95% of the mulch i applied 7 months before.
This spring, i got smart and bought 15 bags of pond pebbles from depot. Threw down some landscape fabric just because and WOW! Why didnt i do this sooner????? Totally made my day!!!

I onced asked a guy in high school named "Frog" where he was going to be later that day.
He said he was "going to be where I'm at." I was floored. I think that made my day back in 1992.

he said he walks out and the lawn is so green and they are all laying around
in families...
"It's like Jurassic Park or something Mom" he really makes me laugh
