tough to start thinking about next year already.

it will be interesting to see if they bring back all the old vets now. tra had a bad game sunday. i think they will bring dawk and runyan back and maybe not tra.

need a big bruising running back to compliment bwest and buck...and possibly be bwest's replacement.

i am torn on our receivers. i think they did a nice job this year but just seeing what a big playmaker can do to a defense on sunday makes me think they need to look at this. i heard houshmandzana is either a free agent or trade bait. eskin said the birds might take a look at him. and if eskin is saying the birds will take a look at a reciever, then they might actually do so.

i'd like to see reid be replaced as the gm too. yes we got to the nfc championship game again. but like banner said they need to evaluate what they are doing right to get there and see what they need to change to get over the hump. the whole lito thing was an embarrassment this year. franchising lj and then seeing his performance this year makes me want to puke---then flirting with trading for gonzalez and not getting him...ugh....looks like celek is a legit tight end though, just sucks we had to go 2 years into his career to realize it.

What's the word on McNabb? Do the fans want him back next year? Is it more get rid of Reid or Donovan? I've always thought, as an outsider, McNabb has always got the shit end of the stick. Look at what he's thrown to over the years. Is there an outcry for more weapons for him?
I'll ride the wave where it takes me.

i think most people assume they will both be back. don't believe what you hear from deion sanders.

he does need more weapons...always had, you're right.

most people, i think anyway, believe reid should be just a coach and not a gm/coach anymore though.

First and foremost, you guys need a stud receiver. The only time you had one was when TO was there and guess what? Super Bowl! Even though you lost. That wasn't TO's fault though.

Back during the first Cowboys/Eagles game this year, a lot of Eagles fans were saying it would have been different outcome if Kevin Curtis (or whoever) was playing and I made the remark that the Eagles recievers, starters or otherwise, don't scare me or anyone else in the league and that Curtis wasn't that much of an upgrade over whoever else you run out there and you guys all thought I was crazy. But the truth is Reggie Brown, Kevin Curtis, Hank Baskett, LJ Smith, et al. DON'T SCARE ANYONE. No one game plans to stop those guys. They game plan to stop McNabb and Westbrook and that's it.

Deseasn Jackson may change all that but we'll see.

Go get a stud receiver. I know I am not an Eagles fan and don't have all the knowledge about them that you all do but believe me, when Eagles games come up, the writers down here only talk about the Eagles defense, Westbrook and McNabb. No one cares about those other spares just like no one ever cared about James Thrash and Todd Pinkston and whoever.

valid points. however, greg lewis was on the field for that first dallas game. greg lewis is a big pile of steaming poop. curtis is big step up from greg lewis. but i would like them to try and get a better reciever in addition to curtis and jackson. the more weapons the better

how about both? I mean, I like Baskett and Jackson, but...

what about an additional running back? every team knows that Westbrook is the man and tries to shut him down--which often works. we need a BIG RB. shake up the runs a little??

um...and how about a backup QB?????

well then, m' lady...they were saying on WIP today that the eagles have tons of cash to spend, but the free agent crop is pretty weak, they may not spend much at all....doh!

here's the jeagler's offseason plan (i forget if i posted this here or not), anyway:

WR: call the cardinals, offer up a 1 and a 3 and bring boldin to town....
OL: move andrews to RT, sign tra thomas to a 2 year deal and try to find his replacement in the draft. im okay with the rest of the line
RB: use the other 1st round pick on a big back to compliment westbrook and to be his successor
TE: im okay with celek....go find a back up blocking TE in the draft
DL: need to find another pass rushing end. but i heard peppers is probably staying in carolina. hopefully abiamiria will continue to progress. but if you cant get peppers, find one in the draft. we need to get to the QB without blitzing
    LB--we're good here
SS: sign dawkins to a 2 year deal and draft his replacement....i'd use our 2nd rounder on this.
Kicker: bring in some legitamate competition for ackers

and i would sign mcnabb to a 4 year extension.

    go birds.

I agree with most of your moves except McNabb. He'll be 32 this season and has 2 years to go on his contract. A four year extension keeps him to 37. At most I'd give him a 2 year extension.

Well no Jordan Gross for the Birds... Carolina signed him to a 6 year deal AND franchised Peppers... although I don't want Peppers especially if he wants to play in a 3-4 defense.
