How you doing D? Hope things are well
Hey Selena! thanks! Great pic of your beautiful kitty, I'm so sorry you had to say goodbye.
I'm doing well thanks, finally got a permanent full-time job but things are still tight. So no shows for me. How's about you? I see you have been in dissertation hell! Hope it's going well for you. Going to any shows?

Funny pic. So when you say "5 of my guys", does that mean you have even MORE ???!!!!
Haha just saw this - yes we have 6, and we also put some food outside for a few ferals that come around occasionally (we live in a town, but kind of in the country). All our cats were strays. They're good guys - all lying around tonight as its very warm.

Ha, "Bennie and the Jet" !
Bennie was owned by a Chinese girl who spoke Chinese to him! His real name is Ben-Ben which means "silly, silly" in Chinese. I like Bennie better. He is such a sweet boy and so smart. How about Jet? Please post some pics!

Awwwwww.....They look like they really love each other! That's so cool! Beautiful kitties.
FireFly was 8 weeks old when I adopted him from the pound. He was in a big "cell" with lots of big kitties and fighting for his life. He weighed all of 4 lbs. But he knew his name, so I kept it. Apparently his sisters were named June Bug and Katydid. I never got to see them. He is my little lover boy.

They do love each other so much... and they came from a similar situation to your FireFly! I love seeing kitties finally happy and settled after a bad start

Yes, it makes me happy as well to see kitties get a second chance at a good life. I wish Bennie was loving like FireFly. He really went through a bad time when I took him from his original owner and she went back to China. He's never showed me affection except when I brush him each nite and it's dinner time! I love him just as much as FireFly though and keep trying to get his trust. People think cats are emotionless and insenstive but they are just the opposite aren't they!? They're just smarter about showing how they really feel.
I love dogs too and would love to have one now - but in an apartment - it's just not fair to the dog, especially when it would have to suffer FireFly's perpetual play time!

Willow's a girl. Got Willow a few years ago and thought she might want a playmate so got Kali about 6 months later, at our local PetSmart. They are pretty much complete opposites. Kali likes to be held and sit on my lap while Willow doesn't. Willow plays with string and feather toys, mice, balls. Only thing Kali really likes are laser pens and these weird plastic objects that she bats around. They get along really well though which is good. A few more pics of them:

Actually her left eye has been like that since I got her. her foster parent thinks she got it when she had her kittens. They put some stuff on the kittens for fleas or something and Willow (her name was Candy) rubbed her face against them. Doesn't seem to bother her, her eyesight seems great.
The doctors think Willow was born around halloween and so they named her Candy because she was so sweet (which she still is) I just didn't like that name for her. She had 3 kittens which were named Kit Kat, Hershey and Twizzler Her kittens were adopted a few months before I got Willow. I liked her story a lot and she seemed like a sweet cat so i got her.

OMG....i loooovvvvvveeeeee fat cats!
i know it's terribly unhealthy and all, so i have never let my kitty's get fat, but just like people, some cats are simply, well...fat. we had a friend with a cat named phud. FAT cat! huge! loved him. my sister had a cat named kitty and she was sooooo fat, her belly dragged on the floor when she walked.
suki just had a nice bath last week, finally got her back in great shape. her fur is soft and clean and most importantly ZERO clumps! monthly baths/blow-drys is what it takes.
here she is as she spends 97% of her time nowadays...
Cute kitties! We put our old guy down in September after 19 years. Two weeks ago a facebook friend posted that he found a kitten by the side of the highway. So now we have our new kitten. His name is Tim Riley, but we call him Timmy and he's 8 weeks old. His eyes are kind of goopy, but clearing up nicely and he's packing on the pounds as if he's making up for lost time.
He's tested positive for FIV although he doesn't have any symptoms of the disease at this point. I figure he still needs somebody to love him even if he is a special needs fella, so he's part of our family now.
