Yep. Loved the new sheriff being in charge tonight.
Yeah- Sawyer laid down the law to Jack. It seemed like they were setting up the 2nd half of the season with tonight's episode. The end was a pretty easy call though.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...

Yeah, but we had to see him at some point.
Jack's face when he got his assignment was priceless.
Jack's face when he got his assignment was priceless.
How many times can I say it? Jack is such a douche.
Complaining that Sawyer wasn't doing enough about the situation when they'd just gotten there. What does he expect Sawyer to do? Step into the Tardis to travel back to the present?
I predict that next week Jack will complain that Sawyer gave him that work assignment on purpose to humiliate him even though if Jack were given the slightest amount of responsibility he'd start ordering everybody around and draw attention to himself.
Looking forward to the catfight between Kate and Juliet.
I wondered if Horace and Amy's baby would turn out to be Ethan. That would make him several years younger than Ben, who looked like early teens by the end of the episode.
Jack's face when he got his assignment was priceless.
As soon as Sawyer told Jack, Kate and Hurley to wait for their names and get their uniforms and assignments I said out loud, "Watch, he's gonna make Jack a janitor".
So why did Sun not travel back to 1977 with the rest of the "Oceanic 5 and turnipless"?
The wife theorized it was because Locke had promised Jin he wouldn't bring her back.

Christian said that she had a long journey in front of her.....who knows what the Island has planned for her.
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
I do like that Hurley finally brought up the purge and what, if anything, are they going to do about it.
I liked that, but the Purge is still a while off (like 15 years or so) and if the baby is the same Ethan as was Ethan in the Others then we know at least a few people have to have survived the Purge.

I was reading about last nights episode- did anyone else notice the woman in the cabin with Christian when he was talking to Sun?

Nope, but I was reading the review for last nights episode on IGN and someone said that they think it's Claire.

I didn't until I read one of the blogs about the episode:
Check it out if you have a chance or saw the movie.
Thanks for that! I'm in the second to last "chapter" of Watchmen right now. I'll check it out after I'm finished. It did make me think of Lost since I noticed the "Gordian Knot" lock company a few times while reading it similiar to Lost hiding things within the show. Also Lindelof (sp?) has a blurb on the back of it saying it's the greatest piece of popular fiction ever, which is not correct. Lol!

I think it's because they were ALL supposed to go back and to replicate the previous flight. They didn't take Aaron and they DID take Ben. Those factors threw everything off.
Besides, that theory allows me to blame Ben who is pretty much the cause of most problems IMHO and be irritated with Kate who I just seem to find irritating lately.

Last night's episode reminded me of the chapter of Watchmen that was all about symmetry and how everything that was happening last night happened before but in reverse such as Ben visiting Sayid who was locked up, Sawyer being in charge over Jack, Chang saying that Jack's file was missing, etc. There were a lot of examples last night. I'm really glad I read the Watchmen and saw it because it's giving me a lot of insights into some of the subtle things on the show.
Ah, did anyone else notice that when Sawyer was giving a quickie explanation of time travel he mentioned that Faraday wasn't around anymore? I guess we'll find out what happened to him but I'm wondering if he got off the island or was eaten by a polar bear. Not that I'm going to miss him all that much. He's pretty much served his purpose.
When Christian told Sun that she had a "long journey" ahead, that made me think that people aren't going to be reunited until sometime in Season 6.
I guess the regression to mud wrestling can't be far behind: :P
eh...okay then they would have officially jumped the shark
I think this show has already done that. I keep hoping it will get better but the only episode I liked this season was the Locke one a couple of episodes back.
I thought I would stay with it until the end, but I don't even know if I will. I spent most of last night's going through my Pearl Jam composition book from the box set!

Competing interests, eh? Pretty hard for the box set not to win that one!
I have mixed feelings about this season. The time traveling got old real fast. As I posted earlier, Kate is starting to annoy me in the worst way. And this stuck in the 70s stuff could get pretty tiresome before too long. I mean, I LIVED through the 70s and a lot of it was awesome but once was enough!
Since I don't see how they can sustain the Dharma-ville storyline for a season and a half I have a feeling we're about to see some back stories on the people from the other plane crash. And more about Ben's creepy, uh, sad childhood.

We re-watched it tonight and saw a women behind Sun, was kind of creepy, but we could def. see her. I'm not sure it was Claire, the hair was a little darker and shorter. But who else could it have been. I was wondering if it was a mistake her being there. But no doubt, she was there.

The hair could've been darker because she was in the shadows. In the link the person provided earlier, it seems like the figure is holding a baby shaped thing.
