Probably, but I work in a legal department and deal with liability issues all day so that's probably why it's stuck in my head.
Makes perfect sense to me why it would bother you then! I have a similar problem with the psychiatric hospital that Hurley's been staying in. I used to work in mental health many years ago and still have friends in the field. It just drives me NUTS that Hurley and the other patients wear their pajamas all the time. That is NOT characteristic of a psych facility. But then it doesn't affect the story like what you're bringing up.
This is something that has been bothering me - what airline would accept reservations for 4 members of the Oceanic 6 on the same flight heading to the South Pacific?
I mean Jack, Hurley, Sayid and Sun all presumably would be using their real names and Kate would have to be using some sort of fake id because she's still under probation and can't leave the state.
Wouldn't some sort of red flag go up on the airline computers not letting them be on the same flight sort of how like brothers can't be on the same ship in the navy for example?
I just can't see how any airline would allow all of them to purchase tickets for the same flight.
WHy not? They're not on a terrorist watch list.
Exactly! They aren't terrorists, just famous. Can Brad Pitt, David Beckham, Paul McCartney, and Jack Nicholson also not fly on a plane together?

Now that would be one entertaining flight!

Ah, well, I'd better brush up on my popular culture or make more trips to So Cal.
Yeah, I liked that too, just about the only thing I liked about the meeting in the church. So much build up to that and then so little revelation.
There WAS no revelation. Nothing that woman said made any sort of sense...(other than her comment about Ben lying). "So yeah, in order to get back to the island you need to recreate the Oceanic flight as best as you can...and the 06 all need to be there...well yeah...except for Aaron...and oh, yeah...Ben's going to be on the flight even though he wasn't initally...and another thing, Locke is dead and is going to play Christian on this flight...so you need something of your dad's...shoes? great!...and look, they're a perfect fit!" COME ON!
Dudes, I would just like to add that I agree with both of what you ladies are saying!
You had me up until the 3rd paragraph...then you lost me. LOL
And, I too, kept waiting for the thing to hit Des.
Oh, well, I was remembering that after Mrs. Hawking gave Jack Locke's suicide note he went upstairs and found Ben kneeling in a pew like he was praying. Ben then showed Jack a picture of Thomas the Apostle and told Jack the story of how Thomas didn't believe in Jesus's resurrection until he saw and touched Jesus. Jack acted like it was the first time he'd ever heard it in his life. Maybe religious instruction was not a high priority in his family.
Was Jack Catholic? I can't remember. I don't think his family was religious.
I was raised Catholic, even went to Catholic school....and didn't know the story of Thomas the Apostle. (But then again, I'm a shitty Catholic.)
I was raised Catholic and went to Catholic school through high school and the only Thomas story I knew was "doubting Thomas".
I was raised Catholic and went to Catholic school through high school and the only Thomas story I knew was "doubting Thomas".
Well, that was the story that Ben was telling Jack when he was showing him the painting of St. Thomas and Jesus. I figured that at least the figure of speech "doubting Thomas" was familiar. I'm probably making too much of that part though.
But it was still pretty goofy to see Ben in the pew like he was praying. PUH-LEEZ! About as convincing as him giving a scripture lesson to Jack. I was wondering if God might hurl a few lightning bolts before they got out of the church.
Was just watching last week's enhanced version and I remembered the whole newspaper clipping announcing Locke's death and was wondering how Jack couldn't have figured out that Locke committed suicide:
There's better screen caps then this, but I remember a couple of seasons ago we were all trying to figure out what it said on the old board and we concluded it was a guy, whose name started with a "J", and that the body was found hanging from a beam.
So how come Jack acts surprised to hear from Hawking that Locke killed himself?
I liked how shocked Ben was when he learned Jin was still alive. I am curious to see if he killed Locke hoping he would not be alive when he got back to the Island. Or if Locke could not commit suicide to die.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...

I can't wait to see Ben's face when he sees Locke alive again.
So where in time are the new survivors?
And did 06 jump back in time with that flash? And if so how will everyone get back to the same time?
And why did a flash happen if Locke fixed the wheel?
And I am curious about the new people on the Island, it seems they know more that anyone realizes. Were they planted by Widmore? What was the war he was talking about?
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...
Well, I guess Locke didn't commit suicide ... lol.
Did not see Ben murdering him. Got totally blindsided like that.
Another great episode!
As soon as Ben came up to the room and interrupted him, I knew that Ben would end up killing him. I don't know what Ben is up to but I never believe there's anything good in his intentions.

Once again, I couldn't agree more! I am convinced that Ben is pure evil...and I *ALWAYS* assume he has ill intentions. I know there are those who believe in the end that Ben will turn out to be the good guy all along...I just don't see it happening. Every story has an antagonist...and he's it.

My guess is that when the wheel was broken it was causing the jumps to happen at random times, but when Locke fixed it it put it back onto it's schedule for moving the island. They're probably going to have to find a way to stop the wheel from moving. That could be why the room was froozen when Ben first went to it.
Oh snap, I think they might have given us a clue as to when Widmore was kicked off the island. He said that it was Ben that tricked him into leaving, so that would mean that he left sometime after they killed off the Dharma people. So it had to have been within the last 16 years, which would mean Penny was born on the island. Unless Ben traveled back in time and tricked a younger Widmore into pushing the wheel.
I just watched it and I'm confused.... even more so because of all this time travel. I think I'm going to need to watch this episode a few more times, unless there are more posts on there that will help me figure this one out.
I guess it's the new plane crash and new people and knowing nothing about then/it that have me confused.

Me too, that's what has been missing from these last episodes. If we aren't going to get answers we should at least get some creepy/cool moments!
I didn't even know that one.
REALLY good point! I think that's what I've been lacking.

When Jack and Locke have their encounter in the hospital, Jack's beard is like this one:
And then when we see him on the bridge holding Locke's obvious suicide obit, presumably a few days later, his beard is more akin to this one:
What did they not find Locke for 6 years or something? He's in a hotel, the maid would have found him the next day.
