Nice episode tying up the loose ends.

Interesting seeing the statue where presumably the four toed foot came from.
Damn it....it was only a back view.

I think they will get into it at somepoint
Yeah, now I'm just wondering how far in the past it was.

Locke found out about Eloise from Widmore, who told Locke to go see her in LA.

I thought Locke found out about Eloise from Jack's Dad Ghost?
I was wrong on this one and you had it right. I thought Widmore had told Locke to go see Eloise but it was Christian.

I guess I was thinking of Widmore telling Desmond how to find her.

This stuff is just so complicated. Off to count my toes now.

    LOL, such nonsense...

What did you think of last night? Very satisfying episode. Love the Richard/Sawyer scene and the eyeliner comment made me crack up!

I was thinking last night while chatting with my friend from the board vedhead27 that the reason the Others knew so much about the original survivors of 815 is because they met them in the past and did research on them after finding out their identities.

I.e., the large folders Richard had on Sawyer and Juliet had on Jack from prior seasons.

Sort of how Richard went to see Locke's birth, I'm sure Richard kept track on Sawyer after his initial meeting with him that we saw last night.

I just read something on Doc Jensen (will never take credit for someone else's genius) that I found interesting. So we see the 4 toed statue (we think) from the back and it has Egytian/African G-d like symbolism.

1- Since when Ben and Locke both turned the donkey wheel they landed in Tunisia, maybe it was a teleport both ways and maybe there was an African culture on the island

2- Maybe this explains Richard's Eyeliner as Egytian men wore this.

One thing a girl I work with thought was that Richard may be an Egyptian god in human form. Doubtful, but it has not been said how old he is yet, and as he pinted out last night, the Dharma defenses can not stop him, so he does seem to be pretty pwerful.

OK, so if richard is some time traveling god, which is an interesting point, why does he always seem surprised when something strange happens, like when locke showed up at his camp the other week and starting explaining things to him, and last night when sawyer was talking to him, both instances he had no clue what was going on. but he must know something cuz he never ages!

I think this whole thing is a course correction that is happening, so that these events never happened yet but are fixing other events that have happened in the past.

Here's a crazy theory I talked about last night:

Now we know that my fav couple Sawyer and Juliet, Miles, Jin and Daniel are all in the 70's part of the DHARMA Initiative now and that explains why Farraday was involved in the construction of the Orchid Station that we saw in the first episode this season.

Now where are Rose, Bernard and any other survivors from the flaming arrow attack. There are really only two possibilities - either they're all dead now or they joined Richard's people. So what if some of the "Others" who were under Ben's command and ultimately Locke's command in the end were survivors of 815.

So where is Ben? If Sawyer and buddies have been at the Dharma Station for three years isn't Ben supposed to be there albeit a child? It would be 1977. Or did Ben come later? I always forget when the purge happened, but Ben had been around there for a long time before the purge, right?

    Eyeliner issue:

The producers of Lost actually confirmed once that those are just Nestor Carbonell's eyes. No eyeliner, just genetics.

"When we first saw dailies of Nestor, we were, like, 'Someone's gotta talk to him about the eyeliner situation,'" Lindelof said. "And he does not wear any mascara, no eyeliner, nothing. He is completely 100 percent sans makeup. That's the God's honest truth."

    :D

I enjoyed last nights episode. I always thought Sawyer and Juliet would make a great couple. But gawd, Sawyer's 70s hair . . . wtf? :?

Ben isn't there yet (at least I don't think so)... I'm sure he'll show up on the island sooner or later...

My real question is when in time is Locke since we know most of the 815 are in the 70s (1977 to be exact), and Locke must be at a place in time after that since he and the other survivors of AA are using a Dharma station as refuge.

And the Richard/Others Egyptian reference does make alot of sense.... wonder if the temple once looked similiar to a pyramid.....

I didn't see any Farrah Fawcett do's on the women at the Dharma Station. Maybe they didn't have access to Charlie's Angels on the island.
