no love for mike lieberthal? haha

if there ever was a year to just not put someone in the wof....jeez.

Seriously. Reeks of desperation. Who's next? Dave Hollins?

I dunno. I liked Liberthal being inducted. In fact, I think he embodies the "Fighting Phillies" mantra as much as anybody in my time as a fan. And by most statistical measures, he was better than Daulton. But we all love Daulton because we all love the '93 team. I'm more than fine with Liberthal in the wall of fame.

I hear you. Problem is honoring either of them celebrates mediocrity. Something this team does far too often

Also, Charlie Manuel is a fool. Get rid of him already

Well they are the losingest team in the history of North American professional sports...so celebrating mediocrity almost seems justified. They probably shouldn't induct someone EVERY year. But if they must, I'm fine with Liberthal this year. But who the heck are they gonna honor next year? The Phanatic?

Here's who I think some obvious future honorees will be: Burrell, Howard, Utley, Hamels, Rollins, Manager Charlie Manuel, GM Ruben Amaro.

Calm down, Fixer. I'm kidding about Amaro.

Apparently this year came down to Lieberthal or Schilling. I'm hoping that they went with their second choice.

And yeah, no way this franchise should be inducting someone every year. Pretty much a joke

I still don't understand why worley is still pitching. guy is obviously struggling and needs elbow surgery. they are almost 20 games back of DC. I don't get it

Damn. Wish I'd known - was down there from 11 till like 7. First in FDR, then all over the ballpark, and then Bar Mall.

By the way, this is the first time in 8 years of going to the ballpark that I ate something from Bull's other than the pulled pork sandwich. I gotta say the sampler isn't that bad of a price relative to everything else down there.

funny, I'm same way. Only reason I really choose Bulls is because the lines are so quick...don't miss much of the game if you go during play.

I have also had my share of dogs...esp on dollar dog nights.

Yeah, I've gorged on the dollar dogs, though they've become more rare nowadays.

Yeah, the Sampler C for 13.25 isn't bad when you consider a Schmitter is almost the same amount and other sandwiches run about 6/7 bucks.

I'd say the sausage and peppers is the best value, followed by the pulled pork and the bull dog.

I go to Bull's because it's close to my seats, prices are reasonable, food is pretty good, and the lines are short. Yeah, Sampler C is a good value.

Damn, dude. I thought you were out of town this weekend or some shit. We went down around noon, drank in the lot then headed in. Was going to head over to Xfinity after but had a ride home so hopped on that.

    .

yeah, all the people going to games dressed as blue seats leads me to believe we will see more DD games next year. so that's one positive from this shitbox season.

Going to renew my tix for next year. Seats are too good to give up and I'm a gluten for punishment with the phils. Have a few people going in on the seats with me so I don't have to worry about selling/giving away games that I can't attend. Should have 5 or 6 games for sale (2 seats) if anyone is interested in buying games for '13 just let me know (face value of course).

Nice. Yeah, that's the positive I'm coming out of with this season - people ditching their season tix. That way I can move more behind home plate, or down more, or get another plan for more playoff tix.

if this team didn't get hamels done amaro would have to be put in the witness protection program by now. He is such a beast

Saw the last 3 innings - that was fun to watch. The Marlins were hopeless against him.

    How are the phillies doing?

how many games behind are they?

I'd look it up myself, but it would be so nice if you can just tell me instead...

    thank you in advance
