    coming from the guy who trashes the 2nd most decorated hitter in franchise history on almost a daily basis. pot meet kettle :fp:

    That's what I was referring to in my post above, but perhaps it was too subtle. :lol:

    2nd most decorated hitter? Maybe that's exaggeration - what do you mean by that? Whatever.

    rookie of the year, mvp, NLCS MVP, fastest ever to 200 career home runs...other than Schmidt no one else comes close to having that type of collection. or at least no one else in about 70 years.

    So I fell asleep on the couch while the score was 9-3. I wake up and the game's over at 9-8. Nothing like awaking from a nice slumber to become immediately pissed off. Just so, so nice.

    well, at least your $50M man got some work ;)
    For all the bitching we all did i'd say Papelbon has been as good as advertised.

    one thing about Papelbon that has been impressive is in save situations he has not really even been threatened. coming from Lidge who was in trouble it seemed like every time, and Madson who was in trouble at least every 3rd time, papelbon has been completely shut down in save situations.

    only 4 years left on that deal!!

    that money sure would have been nice to give to a deserving player, like hamels...or used to bring in a decent role player/bench guy.

    ROY... :lol::lol::lol::lol:

    This is almost as great as the time you used fast pitch softball and street hockey to justify how great of an athlete you are.

    hilarious. thanks for the laugh. it's been too long (like a week) since you said something stupid enough for me to laugh at.

    don't worry you won't have to deal with it. everytime that other assclown gets his ass shown to him he disappears for a week or two. ask him if he has been around the flyers or big 5 thread's recently. :lol:

    All I know is I'm not dealing with this nonsense so I probably won't even talk Phils.

    Speaking of which - Iron Hill usually sucks, but they've got a beer right now that they partenered up with Brasserie DuPont to make a beer Speciale Belge for Beer Week. Fan-fucking-tastic. I think it stops being served at the end of the month.

    ALSO, has anyone seriously considered the VIP tix for this PJ fest on Labor Day? I know it's usually crazy to pay that price, but somehow I think this one is worth the buy - don't have to deal with all the nuts and fighting to get to the front, is mostly my reason for buying them.

    I would but I think I have too big of a group. Think this is a concert where I don't think I am going to be terribly concerned with how close I am.
