I would say that it was nice to play the Astros, but of course we all remember last August...Spectrum 10/27/09; New Orleans JazzFest 5/1/10; Made in America 9/2/12; Phila, PA 10/21/13; Phila, PA 10/22/13; Baltimore Arena 10/27/13; Phila, PA 4/28/16; Phila, PA 4/29/16; Fenway Park 8/7/16; Fenway Park 9/2/18; Asbury Park 9/18/21; Camden 9/14/22; Las Vegas 5/16/24; Las Vegas 5/18/24; Phila, PA 9/7/24; Phila, PA 9/9/24; Baltimore Arena 9/12/24; Pittsburgh 5/16/25; Pittsburgh 5/18/25

And at least these "recuperating months" - with Lidge, Utley, etc - are early and against mostly losing teams from '10.0 -

Hearing the lineup announced was amazing...when Lee's name got called the place went apeshit. then as he finished his warmup tosses...everyone was waiting for him to finish. when the bullpen doors opened CBP went ballistic. He got a standing O from the minute the door opened until the minute he hit the phils dugout. and when he got close to the dugout the MFers lucky enough to have seats in the sections behind the phils dugout went crazy.
then he struck out 11 dudes and ed wade shit himself. yesterday was good, but I wish every game was as fun as tonight.
GO PHILS
i LOVE this team.
our seats were just past the phils dugout, 9 rows off the field. the cliff lee thing before the game was fucking awesome. the lineup announcement with that girl (there was something wrong with her right? the wife said she sounded autistic or something) was really great. gave me chills. then, of course, another exciting win. this is a first class organization from the top on down.
god bless the phillies. and may god continue to bless the united states of america.
by the way---that new hd phanavision is unreal. the picture is clearer than the one i get from my own eyes.
also---harry's "high hopes" leading into that "philadelphia pa" song is a great tradition that i hope lasts as long as there is a baseball team in this town.
Lee's walk from the pen to the dugout was worth the price of admission. I know I sound like a tool, but that was the coolest thing I've seen in a while.
Why do the phils always have local choirs sing the anthem? I love hearing the anthem, but I think the choirs really take away from it. They're big time now...bring in some real singers for that kinda stuff
Great weekend for the phils. sucks there's an off day today...especially with this weather. the fixer might have to head down to towson's campus for a stroll0 -
I'll be there tomorrow night, I hope the rain stops nice and early and we can get some good tailgating in before the gameDon't come closer or I'll have to go0

Dickey fucks up the entire Phils lineup for a week every time they see him. They'd be better off batting all the bench guys. Agree that I'm happy not to see him this time.
it was like a month last yearwww.myspace.com0 -

I'm telling you, philly live is going to be the final phase of tailgating being eliminated down there. They have already stopped allowing tailgating in a lot of the lots for phils games.0 -

looks so weird with the spectrum turned to rubble.
what lot do you normally tailgate in?www.myspace.com0 -
Tailgating has been banned in the CBP lot for a while now. You can still tailgate in the WFC and Linc, which lot weren't you allowed to tailgate in?
We did FDR yesterday.0 -

Is the spectrum gone? I am an idiot if it is since I have been flying a lot recently and haven't noticed on my way to and from the airport.0 -

spectrum def looks weird. last time I was down there the skeleton of the building was still up. friday...nothing
linc lot, right under the k7 sign (across from mcfads...easy access to getting into game for first pitch). My buddies are usually there early to get spots. I usually take the platt bridge in and park in the nova care lot so I don't have to sit in traffic
sometimes I will do mcfaddens if my buddy is bartending. I feel like I am old being in there though. I can't stand being packed in a bar. I have to be pretty damned drunk to tolerate that kind of crowd these days.
no tailgating would be a travesty0 -

We did FDR yesterday.
after that guy got jumped after the game a few years ago they stopped allowing tailgating in a few other lots too.
they just keep adding on. like jeags said, people act like morons down there. I really think they are gonna try to do away with the tailgate scene once this philly live thing is done0 -
I'm sure tailgating won't be allowed in the WFC lot when Philly Live! goes up but it won't go away completely. You guys really need to jump on the FDR train. Not nearly the kind of stuff you guys claim. Much better time.0

I tailgated back there a couple of times last year. Other lots were full I believe so we ended up back there.
It's not bad. My only complaint is that it takes a good half hour to walk to the game.
Did you pay to park there yesterday? Pretty sure they were charging cars to get back there on Friday and Saturday0 -

Yeah, because the Flyers and Phils were going on at the same time. They've always done this, and I'm hoping that this was the reason, or I'll be pissed.
I've clocked the walk at 15 minutes. Trust me, I know of this concern.
To me, the pro's outweigh the cons. The only con is the walk thing, which I'm not really put off by. Usually get there by 1030, stay till 1245/1, walk up, get a beer at McFadden's, then up to my seats.0 -

the other thing is that I don't think there are many lights back there. so if you want to hang after the game and have a few beers it's pitch black.
I don't mind it back there. It's a lot easier to play washers on the grass than it is on the asphalt0 -

Yeah, it's a bit dark, but it's alright. As you past the skate park and the baseball fields, the first parking lot on the left is where we usually park. There's park lights around there so it's never really been a problem.0 -

i can't stand washers. those fucking things fly all over the lot. so i guess fdr would be better for it.
i'm much more of a corn hole guy.www.myspace.com0 -
Love corn hole. Always a staple of this guy's tailgate, as it stays in my trunk for any and all occasions.0
