"He hit Vic and then came off the mound at him," Manuel said. "Vic almost has to go, unless he wants his teammates to call him chicken. That's the way baseball works. I've been playing for almost 50 years. He pretty much called him out.

    love it

I'll love it if we beat Matt Cain today. Anyone can beat that punk Sanchez.

our punk beat their punk

And, Fixer, what'd ya think of the Summer Love? They need to get that shit on tap at CBP ASAP. And I'm convinced it is the best beer to drink on the beach. A 6 pack would definitely not be enough if I was drinking them.

On a related note, I was in Eulogy a couple nights ago. Ended up meeting the head brewmaster/owner of La Chouffe. Huge fat Belgian dude who was a dick. But I cant blame em. They teamed up with Ommegang to make a beer called Gnomegang. That shit was damn good.

actually haven't tried it yet. had 4 punkn ales while I watched the phils on thursday night. I will submit my full report once I try it.

with the signing deadline about a week away the phils still have 6 of their top 10 picks unsigned. I'm really hoping that they buy steve garvey's kid out of his committment to USC.

    get it done rube

Yo, lets take it easy. This isn't the best team I've seen till I see a championship. Until then, the '08 team is the best I've seen.

Shane got plunked, cause were smacking them around. Bad blood from the Playoffs, spilling over.

also ... rollins stealing second with a 6 run lead late in the game ... i know you guys are homers but it isn't always one-sided ...

On the road. The home team still has FOUR innings to come back. 6 run lead. Not 12, 6.

You probably didn't go because of the high ticket prices. I went for free because my uncle has some nice connections. 8-) It was a really good show but maybe not worth some of the prices for the good seats.

great Sunday Inquirer story by Mike Missanelli on the Ryan Howard debate. Especially loved Ryan's stats in close games, and in close games in comparison to Chase Utley. and let me warn the haters now to hold your head still while reading this article as Mikey mentions, wait for it...............................................gulp, Babe Ruth and I know how it makes the haters heads explode when hearing that. enjoy the reading guys although i imagine when i come back on here in 3 or 4 days you will somehow dispute the article.

    Sounds like a real expert.

It's the exact same argument you have been saying for 2 years now. Home runs and RBI. Nothing new in there.

actually the stats comparing ryan with chase in close games and playoffs is new including OPS stats which you stat geeks drool over. but i love when a yankee fan gives his opinions on the phils

and shouldn't you be more worried that your fat assed overrated pitcher can't beat the Sox?

Not worried at all, he'll be just fine. You would know that if you ever watched a game that the Phillies weren't involved in.

CC didn't win a game in that series. I can't remember him ever beating the Phillies, actually. Definitely not in 3 playoff games.
