Flight with Denzel Washington. It wasn't over the top, but kept me watching. The ending was a nice switch from the expected.

It was okay... I wish I'd seen it in 3-D on the big screen though. I think that was the real reason it got such good reviews, because the actual story isn't very interesting at all. It's a movie for the eyes, not so much the brain. I mean, it was okay, but nothing special.

I have the Blu-ray 3D, yet to view it. I really wanna see it in 4K!

Did some late Oscar catching up yesterday, watched Her and 12 Years A Slave.
Her was good, but nothing special to me. 12 Years A Slave was super hard to watch but a fantastic film, definitely deserving of those Oscars.

    Mud.

Pretty damn good! Not sure it was actuallyboscar worthy on Matthew McConaughey's part... if anyone should have it won it, it should have been the kid who played Ellis. I mean, MC is great in it, but the kid really made the film as good as it is IMO.

it was my #1 movie last year. He wasn't nominated for an oscar for this role though, it was Dallas Buyers Club which i still have yet to see. :)

Dallas Buyers club was highly enjoyable for me. McConaughey was good but I think Jared Leto stole the show.

Last movie I watched was Ender's game. It didn't really do anything for me.

I was regulated to the couch all weekend so I caught a lot of shows/movies

A Single Man. Great flick! the production values of this movie give me confidence in good storytelling. IT wasnt a great movie, but it was a great watch (if that makes sense)

    The Internship. Kinda lame.

Dallas Buyers Club. It was pretty much exactly what I expected, but a little heavier and sad. Decent movie. Great performances, of course.

Jaws was on the tube last night. Its been awhile...and damn, I think i'll not go surfing for awhile haha

Nebraska. Really good film; I liked it a lot. Bruce Dern is a great actor.
I've been fortunate enough to see Pearl Jam live.

I am hanging in the balance of a perfect finished plan

A low budget flick called "Mercy" (netflix streaming)

It was a kinda cool story about an author who writes romance novels but he is a bit of a womanizer and finally meets a lady who changes his ways. I liked it.

The Grand Budapest Hotel ... it's Wes Anderson so I know I will automatically like it ... which I did but not as good as Moonrise Kingdom or Fantastic Mr. Fox ... Ralph Fiennes is brilliant ... but this movie is very typically Wes Anderson so if you don't like his movies in general - this won't convert you ...

oh ... saw 300 Rise of an Empire as well ... on one hand, there was some amazingly choreographed scenes and on the other a very weak story that relied too heavily on locker room speeches ... and since when were greek guys all smooth-skinned!? ... all my greek buddies are hairy as apes ... haha ...

Need for speed. If you're looking for a mindless action film where you don't need to pay too much attention and just enjoy the film, then it's pretty good.
