the wife and I watched "Surfs Up" last weekend. What an AWESOME movie! I was even a tad surprised to hear "BIG Wave," but I'm sure there has been many threads about that here.

I watched that movie a while back just to see if Big Wave played on it, and I did not hear it. When does it play?

Muppets Most Wanted. Entertaining. Not as good as the one from a few years ago but still good.

White House Down. Fully prepared to turn it off 20 minutes in and actually liked it better than I thought. Not a great movie but was entertaining enough yesterday.

Grand Budapest Hotel. If you liked Wes Anderson's other movies (Moonrise Kingdom, Royal Tenenbaums, etc...) you'll def. like this one.

White House Down. Not a big fan. Action movies with cheesy comedy bits/one liners just are not my thing. Not sure why I finished watching it. My wife wanted to watch it but about half way though we were just making fun of it.

Great flick! Western with Guy Pierce. It had a good bit of violence though.

Cool on the Proposition, I have 'nearly' watched that a few times and picked something else. Will check it out.

    Thor 2.
Meh. I like all many of the superhero movies as I was so into them as a kid, but this was just ok.

New Capt America looks really good! I did like the first one, thought it was quite good, much better than some other superhero movies like, Iron Man 2-3, Avengers, Man Of Steel, Thor, Amazing Spider-Man.

can't wait to see 'The Winter Soldier'

Ender's Game. Had seen in the theater already, watched with my wife this weekend. Liked it more on 2nd viewing, when I wasn't comparing (unfavorably) to the book the whole time.

The Redemption of General Butt Naked

Very good, totally infuriating, upsetting, fascinating, sad... One of the better documentaries I've seen. Ruthless fucking Liberian war lord murderer/rapist/baby killing crazy fucking bastard who admitted to causing the death of at least 20,000 people directly or indirectly turned evangelical Christian trying to connect with those whose lives he destroyed, seeking forgiveness he says (although I say he just found a new way to satisfy his hunger to have power over people). What really amazed me was the willingness of so many of his victims to forgive him.... Misguided I think, because I think he's still evil (although in a far less destructive way, and I have to admit he does struggle with some twisted form of regret and guilt, but really the only thing appropriate for him to do if he truly feels the remorse he should is kill himself - just the fact that he can live with what he did makes him quite sinister IMO, and then add that he seeks comfort from those whose families he killed and seems to try and brainwash them just like he used to do with his child soldiers... He's a bad dude!), but still incredible that people can soften their hearts to that extent. Anyway, I recommend this movie.

Yea it was very good, as a racing fan, I gotta say that Ron Howard kept it pretty authentic.

Probably one of the better films I've seen recently, a properly well executed movie.
