    Movie 43

Wow, really crude and offensive and weird... I liked it.

I didn't see this movie, but I heard it was one of the worst movies in a loooooooong time.

Whoever said that was taking it way too seriously. It was way too weird with way too many surprise and bizarre appearances by huge actors to be that bad. And while some of it was just too gross, it had some high points.

Watching Dark Skies right now and it's creeping me right out. Good supernatural thriller!

just about everyone that i know that saw it (maybe 4 people?)said that (they do podcasts for movies) so they kinda have to watch just about every film, even the bad ones.

Also it got horrible reviews by critics. 4% on rotten tomatoes and 18 on metacritic. just sayin' ;)
Lol, well I didn't say it was awesome or anything. ;) It was just entertaining. These are my requirements for a movie to not be just fucking horrible and the worst movie ever: It has to be interesting enough for me to watch it all the way through because I at least want to see how it ends. If I don't even care how it ends and I stop watching, it is officially fucking horrible. :D
It was hit or miss. The "Middleschool Date" short was actually quite brilliant, IMHO. I also loved the "Veronica" short.

I think it's one of those movies that would be ridiculously funny if you watched it while high.

    I SAW PEARL JAM
  • Someone on here posted Blackfish. I had heard of the show and the comment motivated me to watch it- which I did last night.

It's scandalous at best... SeaWorld et al. Immoral and criminal: not only with the treatment of the whales, but for the deception of the trainers.

A pisser of a watch, wasn't it? I think they should be held accountable for the loss of human lives.

Probably the fact that it's really supposed to be watch in 3-D. Plus, who wants to watch calamities happening in machines that fly while sitting in a flying machine?

Glad it wasn't just me. I'm not even sure if 3-D would have made it any better!.....

This one is in my top 5. Maybe top three. yea, top three.

I've got a list of movies to watch but they're all 2+ hours long. There really ought to be a law against this sort of thing.

    Gravity.
It was okay... I wish I'd seen it in 3-D on the big screen though. I think that was the real reason it got such good reviews, because the actual story isn't very interesting at all. It's a movie for the eyes, not so much the brain. I mean, it was okay, but nothing special.

That was exactly my take...although I got to see it in the theaters in 3D...originally I loved it (as I was watching it)...but after digesting it, I realized i'd never want to sit through it again. A most visual movie with very little plot or character development.

I woke up early this morning - couldnt sleep -- and threw on a movie called A Single Man. I only watched the first half, but I loved the way this movie was made. The cinematography and music is awesome. I hope the second half is just as good.

Yeah I really liked what I saw so far...(tiny spoiler for anyone who hasnt seen A Single Man)...Im not sure if you noticed...there were two scenes where they show Colin Firth's face where the actual color overlay does a very subtle transition from a drab grey to a more colorful tone...one was when he was talking to the little girl in the bank. I had to rewind it because with the music and how gradual the effect was, I thought I was high or something! ha! it was very cool.

Colin Firth is a really good actor.

It's been a pretty long time since I saw it, but now that you mention it, I think I do recall some kind of change like that.
Colin Firth is one of the best actors around IMO! I love him! I will watch ANY movie he's in.
