Love this movie. It has weirdly spawned many a ripoff/homage episodes in some sci fi shows. I know there’s an X-Files version and at least one other, but I can’t think of it.

Last night I watched Kill Bill 1 after seeing someone else mention it on here.  I enjoyed it more than I remember when it first came out - last time I saw it. Mentioned it to my girlfriend and apparently she's never seen it, so watching it again tonight haha.

Now you need to watch Volume 2. A very different movie. Both good!

    How was this?

The two leads are great. It’s interesting. I kept expecting it to explode at the end, as it’s definitely a slow burn. Stuff happens, but not quite the way I thought. Definitely pleased with Julia Garner’s character arc though. Jessica Henwick is always great and should be a bigger star. It’s worth your time.

IF THIS WAS MADE IN THE EARLY 80s BY DARIO ARGENTO IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A STONE COLD CLASSIC.

^^ahh "The First Omen"...I thought you meant the first "Omen"

That looks too gross. My level of nastiness accepted in movies dropped to near 0 now. Used to love them.

I appreciate the realism of the effects in the film. It's offputting sure, but it's not splatter-y.
But I want and need more "upper class"-iness in my catholic priest horror - like in Omen and The Exorcist.

Oppenheimer (finally, lol), really, really enjoyed it but the last hour almost felt like a different movie.

Yes I saw that too. Didn't realize they are related. Now I see the similarities.
