I'm ashamed to admit I had never seen this before. I figured it was high time I did.... I think it's really overrated. It's only okay IMO, although I really enjoyed the hilarious drunk driving scene, lol. Some people say this is their favourite Hitchcock movie. How can that be?
I’m not a Hitchcock aficionado. But I’ve seen enough. I have not seen this in 20 years, but I do remember enjoying it quite a bit.

I've never watched a single hitchcock movie. haha. I'm still way behind on the classics. there was a very long period in my life where it was nothing but music. no movies. at all. got a lot of catching up to do.

Overrated??..come on please..i'm one of those who thinks this is 3 top films from Hitch..Birds and Psycho are overrated for me..
Yeah, I dunno, I just don't get it! Psycho, The Birds, Vertigo, Rear Window... all much better than North by Northwest IMHO. Not that I disliked it. But by comparison... *shrug* Glad I finally watched it though!

I am definitely mildly shocked that you haven't at least seen Psycho. Get on some Hitchcock! :) As an aside, Psycho 2 is surprisingly good as a sequel to the classic. It ain't Hitchcock and isn't comparable in terms of movie-making really, but for a sequel that came out 23 years later from another director, it is a fairly satisfying follow up to the story I think, and Anthony Perkins is perhaps better in it than he was in the original.

I have been visiting my parents the past few days. They have more streaming channels than I do. In the past few days I watched American Fiction, Oppenheimer, and the Holdovers. I enjoyed all of them.

    Watched Poor Things.
Like that movie Brazil had a Porn angle.
That was one fucking strange movie.
Amazing sets, costumes, makeup, and the performances were good.  For sure not watching that again, though.  Was wanting it to end with an hour left.

    Watched 2 movies this weekend.

Aquaman.  What a turd of a movie.  Did people actually like this?

Kill Bill.  I thought this looked dumb so never bothered.  Boy was I wrong.  Good movie.  I enjoyed it.

Don’t remember Rebecca that much. Rope is okey and the gimmicky one-shot framework is nice. But I find Dial M for Murder to be the cooler ”just taking place in an isolated environment” thriller.

But let’s slso add The Birds and I Confess :)

An unnerving film. Recommend watching the original (1988) version.
Fun fact: According to the director George Sluizer, Stanley Kubrick called him after seeing The Vanishing to tell him it was the most terrifying film he had ever seen and he had already watched it 10 times.

I remember liking it. Saw it not too long ago. They all get mashed together.

Put hitchcocks 'The Rope' on last night. Had to turn it off. A little too creepy of a start. Didn't sit well with me.
Funny reading a Willie Nelson book today and mentions hitchcock...said something like he wanted his movies to be like a bad dream you are happy to wake up from. I didn't give the Rope a chance to scar my brain!

That's one of the reason's they left it out. Also if they added Chris' story it would probably add an extra 30-45 minutes to the movie. I think it was already like 2 hours and 15 mins. They kinda combined Mike and Chris' story together.
