The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo OG. Fucking awesome movie. Forgot how tough some of the scenes can be - but the lead actress is really good.
The Swedish one?
FUN FACT: The original title of the book and film is actually ”Män som hatar kvinnor”. Translates to ”Men Who Hates Women”
Yeah. So much better than the American one. Haven't watched it in close to ten years. Will watch the second one sometime soon....never read the third book so will do that prior to watching the third film. She is awesome.

Movie 2 and 3 were originally made just for TV, with another director -"Tinker Tailor Soldie Spy"-Thomas brother Daniel Alfredsson, but was theatrically releaed when the first one turned out to be such a hit. Even a global hit, proven by you having watched it. The first one had a danish director. They feel "cheaper". But I also think the books turned cheaper storywise.
Even though David Fincher "corrected" some things in the remake (mainly that one scene in the end of the book where Lisbeth has bought a gift for Michael but sees him with his editor :( ) I think they should have set in in Seattle or whatever american city and done an american take on it instead of David Fincher doing... the same thing... set in Sweden.. but now with... them speaking english...

Agree on Fincher's. The score for the American one was amazing, though. Remember seeing in the theater and being blown away.
