  • I watched Goon on Netflix on Friday night. Not the best movie ever made, but it was good for what it was.

Best line: "Two rules, man: Stay away from my fuckin' percocets and do you have any fucking percocets, man? "

    PBM
"We paced ourselves and we didn't rush through it and we tried to be as creative as our collective minds would let us be over some course of time instead of just trying to rush through a record"

We Bought a Zoo. Been meaning to watch it forever because of Cameron Crowe...love that one of the guy's name is McCready! And that they play Hunger Strike. AND that Matt Damon has a PJ Backspacer shirt on in a shot! The movie was pretty great too :D

Saw Skyfall. Was a little disappointed. I enjoyed it a lot, and it was well acted/executed, but it wasn't very original. It's part You Only Live Twice, part The Dark Knight, and part Home Alone (with a Patriot Games slant). And I'm not sure how I feel about delving too deeply into Bond's origins. The mystery of it is part of what makes him so cool. I'll see it again, and buy it on home video, because it was really good, I just couldn't shake the feeling I'd seen this movie before.

Plus there are a few plot twists that were telegraphed. I won't go into in much detail because it's major spoilers, but if I figured it out, it's telegraphed. I'm not usually good at figuring things out until the movie spells it out for me, and I knew halfway through the movie how it would end.

This book was fantastic, and the movie did a pretty good job of honoring the book. I loved the movie and was blown away by the 3d. I can't wait for this on bluray because the xtras will be fantastic. I don't know how they did it, but having a tiger do what it did in this movie was amazing.

On a side note, broke my theater protest to see this and was once again disappointed by a huge group of a-holes talking the entire movie. Wtf is wrong with people?
