"The Wizard of Oz" yesterday afternoon.

Before that, "Gone With The Wind" Wednesday evening.

Good God, I have got to get away from the TV and out into the world.

Or at least into this century.

I liked it. The little lady HATED it.
I didnt know until the end that it was based on a true story. I felt creeped out after I learned it was based on real events because it was recent and very very sad. Some very good acting by Ben Foster and, surprised by, Justin Timberlake.

Just watched Lawless. Good movie. My only beef is with the audio track on the voices. It was recorded way too low on the blu ray. I couldnt hear a lot of what was being said in the dialogue.

    Never Let Me Go

    depressing as hell.
  • anyone seen Killing Them Softly? Ive wanted to see this since Cannes. I hope to though Its funny how people are already suggesting its a failure, and this is its opening week. Its gotten pretty good reviews, and I think people sort of dont get what Brad Pitt is about, that he isnt out there trying to be number 1 at the box office and be the big shot in hollywood. Its clear since Fight Club, he's tackled projects that are only of interest to him, and in that, of course, some films arent going to do as well commercially. Tree of Life, clearly wasnt made to be the biggest grossing film of all time. And neither is Killing them Softly. its a violent film about hitmen, and its a dark comedy. Usually those films arent 400 million dollar bohemoths at the box office.

Aside from Brad Pitt's performance I didn't care for it.
