I really need to start picking the movies...

(I may or may not have had a crush on Wil Wheaton-though not big enough to watch ST)

I've noticed that South Koreans make some really solid horror flicks.

couldn't sleep last night so I watched both Percy Jackson movies back to back since I'd just finished reading both books. I had watched the first one once when it came out so while I knew it was awful I forgot exactly how awful. The second I was too excited about Nathan Fillion's small part complete with Firefly reference to care about the rest of the movie. It seemed like they were attempting to fix a lot of the mistakes in the first one with the second. At any rate they had to include a lot of backstory since the whole plot of the second book was contingent upon events from the first book that movie omitted for whatever reason. It was better, but not great.

Frank, finally. I had no idea the character was based on a real character. Very nice movie.

    Kingsman: The Secret Service

Overall it was enjoyable. The fight scenes were awesome. The plot and storyline were ok, kinda predictable.

I am depressed by how much money 50 Shades of Grey has made at the box office. It's embarrassing to humankind, seriously.

I find it more embarrassing that they made a Saw 17 or however the fuck high they got with that....or Paranormal Garbage 7.
That being said I am not paying for 50 Shades of Grey but am sure will check it out on HBO

Is anybody here going to give us a review? I have no plans to see it, unless it's one of those that's so bad it's good. Even then, I'd wait for Netflix.

Had never seen it before, pretty decent. Didn't really have to be made into a movie though

I think someone here went (or actually it was someone here who talked about it on FB i think). He basically said it was the worst shit he's ever seen, lol.

I'm finally watching Birdman tonight. Can't wait.

Someone sent me this review of 50 Shades and I laughed so hard - it's really really funny.

I love the last sentence of the critic!
An other funny comment from Twitter : "Fifty shades of grey is romantic only because the guy is a billionaire. If he was living in a trailer it would be a Criminal minds episode."

My last movie I watched was this short :

    That's great!
I like his suggestion for who to play the lead characters: Barbra Streisand and Nick Nolte from Prince of Tides. I'd never seen that but I have a co-worker who HATES it (she had to watch it for a class and write a paper on it). Recently I caught about 30 minutes of it late at night--OMG, was there ever a couple with less onscreen chemistry?
