I think I actually have the title seriously confused with something else... sorry. Maybe it's called JFK The Smoking Gun?? Or JFK assasination - definitive theories or something? or... ... Just saw it on TV a couple weeks ago, but am getting mixed up with all the other stuff about it that's also on right now. I am no help at all suddenly. But it was very good, and if I figure out what it's called I'll let you know. :P

    Cool, cool.

Also, I had myself a mini movie day.

    J. Edgar. Robin Hood and That Thing You Do!

J Edgar kind of sucked. It was boring and would have been better if it had more to do with him building the FBI into what it became instead of focusing on his private life (which is still up to debate).

Robin Hood (with Russell Crowe) sure plays fast and loose with history and a famous folk tale. So, it sucked as far as I'm concerned. And I love the Robin Hood Tales, the Bbc television show is worth it of you haven't say down and way he it.

That Thing You Do! Is my second favorite Tom Hanks movie (the first being The Burbs) and the story is great, entertaining fun. This dragged me out of the funk the first two movies left me in today.

My wife said the movie and Denzel made her uncomfortable but she liked the movie too.

There were some scenes where Denzel was drunk that were hard to watch for me as well. I think especially if you have personal experiences with an alcoholic there are some parts that are difficult to watch. I saw it with friends but not at the theater at someone's house, which I regretted cuz I kept having to hide my face!

The 2004 remake of Dawn Of The Dead, I think it's pretty good.

  • I fell asleep watching Date Night last night.
  • Compliance. It's based on true events, and thus the most fucked up disturbing movie I've ever seen. Based specifically on a mcdonalds in Kentucky. A call comes in saying from a man saying he is a cop, and that one of the employees stole something. He's asks the manager on duty to bring the 18 year old girl into her office and strip search her when the store gets busy she calls In Her 50 something fiancé to come watch the girl. Gets more disturbing from there

  • Zero Dark Thirty.

    I don't get it.

I'll grant you there were obvious things changed to make it a concise 2 and half hour Hollywood movie. But I just didn't think it was all that good. It was nominated for an Oscar. Really? Boring.

While I enjoyed seeing hollywoods version of this story, I agree, I completely baffled that this had oscar buzz.

You should absolutely boycott SeaWorld, and tell your friends. After seeing that movie, I'm never going to any aquarium that keeps any sea mammals at all. I'm done with supporting anything like that. No more zoos or aquariums for me. I always had an issue with them, and hadn't been to any zoo in years, and that movie was my ultimate tipping point I guess. Complete boycott of all institutions that keep wild animals in captivity. It's just wrong. Any money spent on tickets and concessions at those places can be donated to IFAW instead.

I may be in the minority, but I wasn't a fan.
