    Green Acres. Yes, I'm serious.

i gotta say "curb your enthusiasm" or "arrested development" (cant wait for the movie version!)... a couple of the most sophisticated, subtle, sarcastic shows ever on tv with GREAT character development and fantastic stories that always come full circle

all the people saying "seinfeld", have you even seen "curb your enthusiasm"?!? its everything good about seinfeld but theres a sense of realism that pushes what seinfeld did to a whole other level of brilliance

  • Rumors are heating up regarding an AD movie. I would like to add The West Wing to the list of my favorites

And shows time and again that LD was the genius behind Seinfeld while JS was simply an overrated stand-up comic.

I have two: The West Wing and Curb Your Enthusiasm.

West Wing had a rather uninspired fifth season due to Sorkin's departure, but seasons six and seven was pure brilliance again. I don't think there's any other show that can go from absolute hilarity to tense drama in a quick second the way that West Wing does. This is the best all-round show in my opinion, because its funny, smart, and dramatic without becoming melodramatic.

Some people have already said it, but Curb shows that Seinfeld wasn't much without Larry David. LD is a genius, and Curb cracks me up every single time i watch it.

    It's a scientology conspiracy.

Absolutely Fabulous (one of the world's most self-centered mothers; after Edina's best friend Patsy burns Edina's teenage daughter with a cigarette and the daughter cries, "MOM!", Edina replied, "Never turn your back on her, you silly girl!")

Arrested Development (Lucille: "You're my third least-favorite child." Michael: "I can live with that.") And Tobias Funke, Analrapist, is probably the best character ever created.

Even though it was only on for a year an a half, one of my favorties shows has got to be Twin Peaks. Nothing like a David Lynch soap opera!

I hate scientology too. Still a good show.
  • I guess if we're talking about network tv I'd say Lost is pretty intense. It never gets boring.

If we're talking cable I'm going with Cub Your Enthusiasm
