  • I gotta say South Park. Excellent combination of topical humor, potty humor. satire and well-developed characters.

    EDIT----Plus, Butters is a riot

Believe me, when I was growin up, I thought the worst thing you could turn out to be was normal, So I say freaks in the most complementary way. Here's a song by a fellow freak - E.V
  • Roseanne (not at the end though, the lottery winning killed it), Wonder Years

And how could I forget.. The Office!!!!

I might be biased because certain small details about that show are very local, which gives it an intimate quality. Its just an incredible show, especially season 4. If you do invest the time in it you should start from the beginning.

Lost. Seinfeld was good too. Also, going back in time I Love Lucy. :)

yah of course. i would never start a show from anywhere but the beginning. i plan to obtain the dvds sometime soon because i really want to see it. they are just so expensive though.

i like the way you think. along with the sopranos, those two shows cap off my top three. lost is fucking nuts. what a fucking brilliant show. but there is another thread for discussion on that, which i don't like to go into because i am afraid of spoilers. i dont like to know anything that is going to happen in the future. i think that suspense is part of what makes the show so great. i dont understand why people like to know hints of what is going to happen.
  • The Simpsons
The Shield (Check it out. Netflix it. best drama ever on TV)

When I was a kid, my favorites were:
    The A-Team
    V
    The Greatest American Hero

ok, maybe not the best drama ever, but it's the only show where after every episode, I just sit on my couch staring at the screen and just decompress and try to take in everything that just happened in the last hour. No show has ever done that to me before
