Six Feet Under.........without a doubt - it's in a league of its own.
Every week was like an amazing one hour movie.....brilliant writing/directing/filiming, amazing characters, incredible cast. I have never been as emotionally invested in a show as I was when watching 6FU. The series finale was the greatest hour of television I have ever seen - truly beautiful. It was hard to let it go - could have watched 10 more seasons.
In my world everyone is a pony,
and they all eat rainbows and pooh butterflies!
I feel bad for the people who bailed on Lost. My sister and her husband stopped watching somewhere around the beginning of the 3rd season, saying it wasn't good anymore. They've missed quite a bit. Starting with the Nikki/Paolo episode, Lost has been great. It doesn't leave me all amped up and intense like The Shield does though
I was out of the country and missed the first half of the second season of Lost. People told me that Lost had been disappointing, so I didn't bother getting into it again. However, I caught the last 15 minutes of the last season's finale and was immediately hooked again. I am so confused this season, but I'm watching it anyway. I'm a teacher, so I think I'm going to spend my March Break renting the previous seasons. I'm totally hooked! In fact, I watched the first two episodes this season, and thought it'd be better to record the remaining episodes and save them until after I had caught up on Lost. I couldn't do it. I had to watch the next episode, even if I didn't know who a lot of the people were or understand the majority of the references. Lostepedia has been my saviour.
No time to be void or save up on life. You got to spend it all.

I agree, Six feet under was a great show. Definately the best finale of any show I've ever seen. Especially the last 10 minutes or so. I still hate that Brenda.....
Do you watch Dexter? I've heard it's great, but haven't had the chance to watch it yet. i know it'll be on CBS soon, but I don't want to watch it butchered up. I'd rather watch it the way it was meant to be seen

The 2nd season was subpar. But it really picked up around the middle of the 3rd season and has been great since.

Just wait until the series is complete and then rent/buy the DVDs. You can watch them all in a short period of time.

I should have just quoted this thread. I agree with everything you said. It is head and shoulders above anything else that's ever been on tv.
The episodes with Duchovny are some of the funniest television moments I have ever seen! Don't know if I would choose it as my best ever. But, I would certainly put it down as a show that has the potential to have me piss myself.

Dexter is great!!!!!! I didn't love it right away, but with each episode I grew to like it more and more....you should definitely check it out (I would rent it - hacking up the dialogue to make it CBS friendly will likely be really annoying)
......Michael C Hall is a truly amazing actor and its really cool to see him in a role that is so different than David

I would have said that, because it's one of my favorites of all time...but it's just gotten so bad over the past few years. :(
