Without sounding completely sexist...Do any guys? In my own personal experience, I don't know a single man who does read directions. But, like I said...that's been my experience...probably not true of the general public.

I'd never get anywhere if I didn't read directions.

HA! Ironically enough, my wife tried last night to put together a bookshelf for kid #1, and it's sitting in the middle of my garage looking like a lemonade stand!!! I took one look at that thing and realized I didn't have enough beer in the house to try and reconfigure it.

if it's a choice between extremes, i'll go with smart. things break every so often, stupid lasts 24 hours a day though

in all fairness though...i too am smart and handy.

we both work....earn good wages.....and neither of us fall back on gender stereotypes to define who we are or our roles in our marriage, never have....also respect each others desires and space...and allow each other to persue our own interests, and sure...do a lot of things solo b/c then the times together....much better. we've had some very rocky times, but i am quite happy to say that we managed to get through them, and yes....if you truly love someone and they love you....it IS all surmountable, whatever *it* may be. just gotta work at it, talk about it, rage about it at times.....but definitely laugh about it.....and sure.....get hot and heavy for each other too. :D

but yes...he is seriously SUCH a good cook, love his food.
oh and yes, sure...you can come over for dinner!
although usually...he saves his cooking for me...unless it's BBQ in the summer. with guests, more often than not....we eat out. :D

thank you! :) besides, if something breaks i have a relatively decent shot at fixing things myself...i grew up going with my dad on handyman jobs, so i became well-acquainted with hardware stores and little fix-it projects in the houses he'd work in :)

now if a guy is smart but scared to lift something heavy lest he mess up his hair, then that's a whole other story. you don't have to know how to fix a semi-truck, but don't be prissy for god's sake haha
