Damn I didn't think Strahan would retire this year. Well I guess it's better for him to just go out on top.

Theres no way we can fill that gap though.

I guess Tuck will move into his spot.....I guess they knew something by signing Wynn

Honestly I really didn't which made it a lot more funny to me.

And about Wynn- I was thinking the same thing. He only had a couple of sacks last year so I don't think they keep him if Strahan stays.

Nope. If it had all the Giants playoff games I would have.

Who the hell wants to see pats/chargers?

i think you may have been misinformed...

http://www.giantinsiderstore.com/girotosubodv.html (don't buy it here, it's much less expensive elsewhere)
Includes full games of Season ending game vs. the Patriots, Playoff games against the Buccaneers, Cowboys and Packers, Plus the entire Super Bowl XLII game.

but i'm not 100% sure that this source is more accurate than any of the others. i ordered it last week and haven't gotten it yet. i've heard some complaints about the quality: it's only available in 4:3 (i.e. no widescreen version) and the overall production is fairly poor. also, the super bowl DVD supposedly cuts out right after the final play (no celebration or trophy presentation).

and i can't imagine why in the world i'd ever want to watch the week 17 game again...

on the positive side, there's a super bowl commentary track by michael strahan that everyone says is really cool.

it's gonna be weird not seeing strahan on the field next year. :(

    Oh that DVD looks awesome!

What I saw had the two division's championship games and the super bowl. I ever even knew this disc existed.

Really Plax, your unhappy with your $25 Million. Shocker. I have always hated this guy. I know he had a good season and a great SB but he thinks he is TO or Moss and he isn't. Here is his quote:

"Me and my agent are trying to get a deal done so I can stay a New York Giant for a long time," Burress said. "I, personally, don't like the way they're going and I am not happy about it. I am choosing not to participate."

I don't like the way they are going???? What the F does that mean????
Here is the whole article if any one is interested:

It just blows my mind the balls of these guys. Imagine a teacher making say $50,000 a year says, you know what, I thought my ass off these first 3 months I want to be paid $70,000 from here on out. Unreal!!
Hey, you wouldn't hire a clown to fix a leak in the jon so why do you let these hooligans tear down the biz? YEEAAHHH. I don't care if he is Mr. Notorious BIG, can he croon?

the only part i've watched so far is the super bowl with michael strahan's commentary.

the DVD set is worth the price just for this commentary alone. i'm not even gonna try to describe how cool it is. everyone needs to buy this set! :D
  • NOOOOOOO.......

Even though it probably is the best move for the NYG I am dissappointed. I loved watching this dude play. Bye Shock!

  • good riddance. could have been a great player, instead he's an oft-injured crybaby. I was legitimately worried about his on field tantrums fucking up Eli, and mesing up his newfound confidence. Eli would have reverted back to his "must get shockey the ball to keep him happy" ways. It's just too bad they couldn't get this deal done before the draft, to get picks who could help them this year. Any college experts know what the draft class looks like next year, as opposed to this past year?

I "was" a big Shockey fan early on but his act wore thin for me as well. I think he will thrive in NO with Payton again. I am just glad we don't have to put up with his headache any more.

Burress sat out of practice and his teammates are fine with it.

The team said it was because of his injured ankle but many suspected it was because of his contract issues.

Pierce's response- We're fine with it, I'm not going to put my hand in his pocket.

My response- get your ass on the field! You get paid enough. You shouldn't have signed the contract in the first place if it wouldn't be good enough for you.

I swear sports has become a bunch of whining and crying. I wonder if most of them even care if they win or not.

Stopping by to tell you fuckers that I'm still pissed off for ruining a perfect season.

Let's see how Umenyora(or whatever the hell his name is) does without that gaptooth guy. Hopefully, the Shockey deal backfires! and Eli returns into a second rate QB again.

You guys are luck that August 28th is only pre-season. There will be Hell to pay!!!

    Peace, see ya!

how'd they do without Shockey in the Super Bowl? He won't be missed. His talent wasn't worth the crybaby temper tantrums. He's hurt half the time anyway

That was one of the biggest surprise in the game for me, The Giants did it with a lot of rookies! Shockey's second string Boss, the helmet catch guy was a rookie too(I don't even know his name). there was a lot of rookies and 2nd-year players on that squad. Yet the Pats' "veterans" missed a lot of opportunity plays.

oh that would be David Tyree

he caught it on the biggest shit talker of them all mr Harrison ..thats what made it even more beautiful...I recall screamin at the tv saying omething like

    "HAHAA! EAT A D***K HARRISON !!!!"
well your boy Seymour got the same verbal abuse when E slipped out his butterfinger hands from an inevitable sack :D
I wanna go watch some super bowl highlight right now and relive those moment

    Thanx guys! :D

  • Tyree wasn't a rookie, but they did get a ton of help from their rookies. Every player drafted before last season played a big role towards winning the Super Bowl.
