Good God Washington SUCKS!!

Good game for you Giants. Nice way to send a message about Super Bowl hangover, etc. except for Eli looking kind of rusty. Washington should have had at least 4 interceptions.

yea seriously. He'll prolly get a few games like that down the line against even weaker opponents

We def looked a bit hung over but Eli def looked like he's throwing the ball with more conviction and confidence despite the INT's. I just don't want him to get cocky yet..just play hs game and he'll be fine. Some nice throws to Plax and Moss yest and a few others.

It wasn't the pretties but I will take it! Tuck and Kiwi looked great. The 1st qtr was awesome as was the pre gam intro with Strahan popping out of the trophy. I was amazed how fast the game was going. But then I realized it was because of the RNC which caused them to seem to rush.

I have to also say...
The tackling was tremendous (aside from that one kick return).
But the D made key 3rd down tackles that caused the skins to fall a yard or 2 short of the first and punt. Mostly in the 2nd half.

Tuck's ready to bust out and become a star too. He has the ability and potential to be just as good as Osi and Strahan if not better. Speed, size, agility and the will to hurt and punish the opposition

Terrible game last night even though it was a win...gonna need a bit more effort than that to compete with the big boys in the NFC East this year

Anyone else annoyed by the RNC effect on the game? The broadcast felt a little rushed to me. Especially the pre game ceremony etc. I would have like to see just a little more. The first half was over in about an hour. The imediately after the game it goes right back to damn RNC.

no the rush was the fact that Washington couldnt generate a first down even when Eli was feeding them interceptions

Fun game to be at. Crowd was pumped. Usually, you get that row or two in your section that sits on thrid downs and shit, not that night. Place was rocking. Everyone chanting defense. Mad fun.

Philly looked good. Dallas did what they had to do as well.

At least we know we arent facing the patriots again in the superbowl this year. ha ha ha.

The Eagles have to prove themselves this year. They've done jack shit recently and historically... big deal they've had a couple of good seasons. Why should anyone at this point think they are a "big dog". Maybe in a couple of weeks, but right now they're nothing special.

Though the page has turned let me just talk about last year 1 more time....

I was lucky enough to be at the super bowl last year with my father who is another diehard Giants fan. On the flight out to AZ we were watching the movie Rocky 4. Suddenly it hit me....The Giants vs. The Pats was like a real life Rocky 4. The big bad undefeated russian who killed everyone vs. the weaker underdog who absulutely nobody picked to win. We all know the outcome......Rocky chops the monster down against all odds just like NYG chopped the Pats down. Or in other words....stomped 'em out!!!

This is the game that scares me. A team we should destroy will probably beat us. We should kill the Rams and Eli should have a field day.

TD, not FG Gilbride. And yes, RIDE THE JACOBS TRAIN FOR FOUR FUCKING QUARTERS! 2nd and 3rd quarters...where was he? Ward is the man, and he was a HUGE part in the win streak last year, but Jacobs is a fucking monster. Smash those safeties, and lets see them cover smith, plax, and manningham in the fourth quarter with busted fingers, sternums, sore shoulders, etc. We have a real life battering ram...USE IT!

we BETTER have a field day the next few weeks cause after that we have I think Pittsburgh, Dallas and Philly all in a row. We're gonna have to come up big in those games
