I'm surprised at the firing of Tommy Tuberville at Auburn. I know this was a bad year and they definitely struggled in the new spread offense but wtf?
I am lost, I'm no guide. But I'm by your side...

The entire university, but especially the athletic department, at Auburn is run by one booster....Bobby Lowder...if he was tired of Tuberville, then off he goes....so really nothing kooky is surprising from down there.

Hey Cutback, told you the Beavers would get worked.

USC (barring a breakdown) is back in the Rose Bowl.

I know I'm gonna get laughed at here............i'm going to the ROSE BOWL (the actual Stadium - not the EVENT) this weekend to see UCLA v. USC.
I HATE USC and us Bruins will be hosting the Trojans.........I know, I know.....we don't stand a chance!! But ya know, stranger things have happened! We stopped Leinart and Bush in December 06 at the Rose Bowl!! (I wasn't there......I was in Hawaii witnessing PEARL JAM play on the very same day)!

Is the humanitarian bowl one of the official bowl games, or just something Boise State does on their own? It seems weird that they could play in that and the BCS, or if the BCS doesn't win out that they automatically get to play on their home field. Ball State really had nothing to lose by accepting, but I think they would have been demolished playing on BS's turf.

My understanding is the WAC champion is supposed to play in the Humanitarian Bowl unless they are BCS eligible, which BSU is this year, but they still won't be let in. We just win the WAC all the time so it seems like something we just host.

Sounds nice, like playing in the SEC... your bowl game is always a home game and teams have to come to your turf to play the "neutral" bowl game ;)

Yeah, I'd say it's been working out pretty well so far... We have to show off the blue turf!

That place is a trip, for real. It sure worked against Fresno, I was watching that game and they slaughtered them.

Think its obvious it will be OU-Florida in the NC game.

think its also obvious that it SHOULD be OU-Texas.

Not to talk shit about the SEC defense, but when a team breaks the record, scores 60+points 5 games in a row, that says more about the offense than it does about the defenses they were playing.

We'll see if Florida's corners and their "speed" are really capable of stopping the best offense in college football history.

I think OU wins by about 10 points. 34-24.
