Rutgers wins their 5th straight to become bowl eligible and 3rd in the Big East!...one more big win to go on December 4th against Louisville!

Agree with everything but the Pryor statement. Beanie Wells is their greatest asset. He can make our weak line look good.Thats one aspect of the team thats lacking. Glad Brewster got the shot to jell with Pryor though.Long time believer of too much media attention place on the Bucks
at any point in the season.

Beanie's their best player, aside from maybe Jenkins. But I'm talking about spirit. Pryor has a lot of heart and fire. He was taunting people after the Illinois game. OSU needs that... that spirit and swagger the SEC does so well. Even last season, the team seemed to lack that. Beanie carried the team, but they never seems to have as much focus and spirit as they have the last few games and even the PSU game, despite losing that one. I'm just afraid their layoff is so long (as always) that the team will be ice cold by the time bowl games roll around.

Speaking of ice cold, I'd love to see an SEC team play in the Horseshoe in November. Big Ten teams train for that kind of weather. Big Ten players match up just fine in the NFL. They've got plenty of talent, but they have to prepare to play football that isn't as flashy as the kind of football you can play when the temperature never drops below 60. See how fast those SEC teams look when they're trying to run through the snow and can't feel their hands and feet.

I actually think Oklahoma matches up better against the Gators than anybody else. Both offenses are efficient as hell. The knock on the Big 12 has been the defensive play of its top teams, and that might make the difference in a UF/OU matchup. But if Florida had a tough time getting pressure on Bradford then it could get interesting. In the end I think Texas will get the nod in the Big 12 south. Then of course if Mizzou somehow beats them things will get really crazy.

I agree that Pryor has great potential. Things should get interesting in the Big 10 in the coming years, as Rodriguez gets his recruits in at Michigan.

As far as a OSU/UGA matchup, pressuring Stafford is the key. Create turnovers and UGA has one helluva time playing catch up. Alabama and Florida showed that. Plus they have struggled against middle-of-the-road SEC teams Kentucky and Auburn the last couple of weeks.

I don't have much worry about Florida getting pressure on Bradford. Texas did ok at that and I don't think their defense compares to Florida's. But we'll see. If Mizzou knocks off the south winner, it's going to be a nightmare of confusion.

Big Ten play could get interesting. Tressel has been so conservative this season with his rookie QB, but I suspect he's up all night thinking of crazy stuff he can throw at other teams next season. And Michigan had a tough season this year, but they didn't hire Rodriguez for nothing and he's going to be shaking things up in no time. Unless he goes the way of Joe Tiller. Penn State's spin on the thread has been lethal too. They'll be catching up in no time.

Georgia's definitely vulnerable and OSU can definitely cause turnovers. It's all about what offense decides to show up for the Buckeyes whenever they play.

Everything in scollege footbal is cyclical, the Big 10 is down right now, so is the pac 10. The Big East is not very good, and neither is the ACC with Miami, Virgina Tech, and Florida State all rebuilding. And outside of Florida and Alabama, so is the SEC. That being said, Ohio State would get smashed by Oklahoma, Texas, or Florida. Probably by Alabama and Texas Tech as well. And in a rematch with USC, I don't see the score being any better. Same with Penn State. They are both very good programs that play in a bad conference right now. Maybe tOSU plays decently against a beat up Georgia team in a bowl. Or Penn State goes to the rose bowl and unfortunatly plays oregon state again instead of USC. Big 10 does not deserve two top 10 teams. There is a huge drop off between the top 5 teams in the country and everyone else.

yeah, I was not a fan of the richrod hiring, to say watching them is frustrating is an understatement. I think the next 2-3 years are not going to be pretty.

Man got us playing Virginia Tech in the Meineke Car Care Bowl...hmmm..2 games in conference for West Virginia against Pitt and South Florida could be 2 losses and Rutgers has Louisville..we beat Louisville and WV loses both games we are #2 in the Big East which could put us in the Sun Bowl or the Gator Bowl...Gator Bowl would be awesome!

I don't know about any of this. Georgia will have a month to get healthy, stop making excuses for them already. No way would an OSU-USC game played right now look anything like the first one did. OSU drove strong on their first 2 possessions and came up with only one field goal. You throw Pryor and Beanie into those drives, and that game is 14-14 in the first quarter. I can't say OSU would win, but it would not look like it did that day.

It's a shame that Oregon St will get the Rose Bowl bid... USC-PSU would be a much better game. This one is going to be as lame as USC-Illinois was last season. Unfortunately, if USC got the Rose Bowl bid, they'd probably pair Oh St (I'm annoyed by how many OSU acronyms there are!) with some joke team. I badly want a piece of Georgia or Alabama this season, see how the Buckeyes do against one of these "elite" SEC teams when they're hungry.

It does suck about oregon state, it should be USC/PSU. I am not making excuses for UGA though, they were overhyped just like tOSU was. I am tired of hearing how tOSU is so much better with Wells and Pryor. Those too still did not stop USC from scoring. I wish that tOSU or Penn State would play Texas, Oklahoma, or Florida. The game would be like 56-24. or worse. Alabama might be a better game since they don't have an offence as good as those teams. tOSU will get a shot at USC next year in Columbus.
