I know the Rockies won 20 of 21, but beating the Red Sox 4 out of 5 will be a tall order for such a young team.

Looks like you'll be shipping off to Boston for the parade.

i know...this is so depressing...i guess i got what i deserved. for the purposes of marketing myself as an academic trying to get a job somewhere in this country i wanted the sawx to be the most relevant team in baseball, but after getting to the ALCS they'd be that without me having to go to the duck boat parade. shit and it definitely won't be the same without pedro. red sox nation building continues...

Sweep or not? Before the series began I made a friendly bet with my BoSox bred co-worker that the series would go 6, maybe 7. He was adamantly confident of a sweep. So far so good, for him.

I don't think it will be a sweep. I would like it, but with Dice K and Lester pitching the next 2 games ... I can see this going at least 5 maybe 6.

Dice-K was great in the first three innings of Game 7 in the ALCS.

If he goes 5+ innings and gives up less than 3 runs, he's done his job.

Hopefully the offense will come on strong in Colorado.

this was ginormous for the sawx, b/c now they can go to the land where curveballs go to die and even lose all 3 before coming home to friendlier territory. last time though they wen't 4 straight so who knows. i guess the denver crowd seems more intimidating than the st. louie one?

I would doubt that. St. Louis is a tremendous baseball town. They love the Cardinals there. They have a big homefield advantage. Denver is more of a football and after the success of the Avalanche a hockey town than a baseball town.

I would doubt that. St. Louis is a tremendous baseball town. They love the Cardinals there. They have a big homefield advantage. Denver is more of a football and after the success of the Avalanche a hockey town than a baseball town.

If they're anything like the Broncos fans of yore they're gonna be a factor. I suspect, this being the rare moment that it is there's gonna be a lot of extra-loudness.

I agree they'll be loud, but being down 2-0 will take a good bit of life out of them. I'm more worried about the thin air and the huge outfield than the crowd.

I think it's a clean slate for the home team. It should be interesting.

Rootin' for the Sox, and a good Series overall.

SOX in 5, they are playing great ball, I would sit Ortiz in Denver and keep Yuke in he brings great D and his bat is just as strong as pappys at the moment.

    Lets Go Red Sox

The Red Sox held their homecourt now let's see what they'll do in the thin air. Also what they'll do with the designated hitter desisions. Let's hope they make the right ones with Youk, Ortiz and who plays 3rd.

With that said, Now Let's Go Sox one game at a time. :)

I have a feeling a few baseballs will be orbiting the earth by Monday.

I would never sit Ortiz. Never. The only time Yuk beats out Ortiz is if a lefty starts. Then, maybe.
