between the eagles and ed leading us into commercial, the excitement is almost too much for me to take...
  • nice pick by james. :) very good game from westbrook as usual. kind of boring otherwise, but let's hope things pick up against the Racists.
  • it's a barnburner offensive showcase tonight!
I love to turn you on

I'll be taking this game. My prediction is 24-14. I'll be down at the Linc, let's just hope I don't run into Tony Kornheiser's bad combover.

if you do, and you are able...please strangle him to death. :) thank you. :D
  • disappointing end to the first half, especially with all those errors by washington. hope the offense can find a groove in the second.

yeah, this game is not fun to watch.
and while donovan's having a bad night, i hate hearing the boo's. eagles fans suck.
edit: i feel the need to reiterate i'm an eagles fan. :D but i like donovan and hate the way they turn on him.

    totally agree.

tough loss tonight. it looked like they were going to get the score on the final drive, as the offense was finally looking sharp, aside from a couple of bad play calls on 3rd and 2...if only curtis hadn't slipped on that second to last pass attempt. they would have had a first down.

the defense played well for the most part, with quite a few missed first tackles, but still a decent game for them. the offense looked more promising at the end of the game so i hope that bodes well for the next game. this is definitely a disappointing loss, though. as many of us said, they shouldn't be losing to washington at home. :(

This was a loss not needed. Bring Randall Cunningham out of retirement!

McNabb said if he passes for 300 yards and his team wins by a touchdown, critics will say, "Oh, he could have made this throw here. We would have scored more points if he would have done this."

Asked if white quarterbacks such as Peyton Manning and Carson Palmer are held to the same standards, McNabb replied: "Let me start by saying, I love those guys. But they don't get criticized as much as we do. They don't."

i hate to break it to him, but they don't get criticized as much because they don't play in philadelphia. if peyton played here, philly would've boo'ed him until he delivered a superbowl trophy, as well.

He needs to talk to Rex Grossman, or any of the number of QBs we've had here in Dallas since Aikman left.

just like it was over in 2003 when they started off 0-2? they went to the nfc championship game, in case you need refreshing.

oh, that could've been any number of years. :D
people can criticize all they want about not winning the big one, but i'd rather be consistently good and in it than not even contending....like the dolphins in recent history, for instance.

Regular Season Records going into this season since 2000

    Indianapolis Colts 76-52
    New England Patriots 75-53
    Philadelphia Eagles 75-53

For all of Reid and McNabb's shortcomings, they have been very consistent the entire decade and I'd much rather have that than one good season followed by a bunch of losing seasons.
