Ricky Williams was the best running back in the history of college football at the time. Don't sit there and say you knew how it was gonna turn out. McNabb and Andy were promised one more year, If things don't change no question there both gone after next season. But honestly I think it's one year to late.

yes, we lack a playmaker at wideout (which better be a position pursued in the offseason) but McNabb in the past would succeed with average talent at wide reciever.Defend McNabb all you want..... It's obvious these injuries got the best of em'. I always liked McNabb, and it's unfortunate how his once promising career turned out the way it did.

tight end is killing us this year too. LJ being unhealthy and moody because he has no contract next year has killed this offense as well. in the west coast offense the tight end is usually a big weapon but we've gotten almost nothing out of that position this year.

Problem was that the Eagles didn't need a running back, they needed a QB. That's why McNabb was the best choice for this organization. As for one more year, that's probably what Kolb will need to be ready to take the field. He is not an NFL QB right now and I don't think he will be by the time the season starts next year. That said, McNabb probably will be traded in the offseason and we'll have AJ and Kolb as your QBs next season. Hello bottom of NFC East next year.

Yes the TE position has been a huge disappointment this season. We'll have to see how much faith the team has in Celek over the next couple of weeks.

That may be the case, but the Eagles already had a RB, Duce Staley ran for over a thousand yards the year before McNabb was drafted and the Eagles still had Charlie Garner at the time.

RB was not a priority that year. QB was.

I knew we needed a QB, I was just making a case for the crazies at the draft. really can't blame them for wanting the best player available. Just thank God we didn't draft Couch, Akili Smith, or even Culpepper. That would have set the franchise back another 5 years.

The thing is the Phillies already knew how crazy Williams was. He was a Phillies farm product back when he was in college. I'm sure considering all of the research staffs undertake before drafting someone that someone from the Eagles went down the hallway at the Vet and asked one of the Phillies scouting directors what Williams' makeup was.

And would he really have helped when you would have been either starting Bobby Hoying who came off a stellar 0 TD and 9 INT season or Koy Detmer every game or the guy Andy brought in - Doug Pederson?

Just because WIP and Rendell and the Daily News wanted Williams, last I checked none worked for the Eagles.

how come no one ever brings up the Jets fans who boo their pick every year it sees like.

I look at a lot of things from a players perspective. you and most people try to sound like some educated fan. The Eagles every week are one play and a few mistakes from beating every team they face. Yes, good teams find a way to win games, but the eagles are frustratingly close. Without Westbrook? he's on the team asshole he play's for the Eagles. Without Plaxico you guys wouldn't have 7 points. that makes no sense. If your a Giants fan, I'm sorry but your team is highly overrated and will be no threat in the NFC playoffs.

alot of teams are a few points, few mistakes short of wins. look at miami. and plaxico did score some points but what i was saying was the eagles cant seem to win without westbrook. giants have won games this year without plaxico being the star in every game. if the eagles had balance like they did when garcia was in last year this wouldnt be an issue. granted eagles have put more run plays in but instead of throwing screens to westbrook they just hand it to him.

without mcnabb the eagles struggle on by, same with just about every player on the team. take westbrook out its gameover before the coin toss.

im not even bashing mcnabb or the recievers im just saying try to mess with the defense, dont let them know westbrook will get the ball. eagles defense is pretty good at mixing it up. i just understand why the offense is so onesided and boring.

it was the same when owens was there, every pass was to owens. whats the deal with having only one player?

we need improvements...just like any other team. westbrook get's most of the touches because he's the best player on the field. The best player get's the ball( in every sport and on every team). and what i was saying is.... I understand the Eagles struggles this season, and that I believe they will be an easier fix than people think. Also your Giants aren't the most exciting team to watch in the NFL. They don't have one player even close to the skill level of Brian Westbrook.

So much is said about drafting Mcnabb over Ricky Williams. We should have booed the selection of Freddie Mitchell over Chad Johnson and Reggie Wayne.

But, yeah today was a fun game to watch. I may be more in the minority, but I love great defense over great o any day.

And that was very cool of Westbrook to do that - even if he probably cost me my fantasy football playoff game tonight by not scoring that td, it was cool to see a player actually do something that heads up and unselfish.

yeah, though did you see westbrook's press conference afterwards? he said john runyan told him to take the knee and he (westbrook) was like 'ehhh'... but then saw all 6'7 of john runyan coming at him, yelling to take a knee, so he took a knee. haha. thought that was funny. :D

    yep, love westbrook. :)
