I told him that only homosexuals get that done. Why would a guy get his tongue pierced?

    I have seen too many people with a split tongue and tongues so swollen they can hardly get any air from their mouth. Sorry...hope it goes well. Just tell him to follow rinsing instructions specifically. Infections can cause all kinds of havoc.

    I can't imagine anything worse than having a spike stabbed through my tongue. Most people I know who have them talk with a slight lisp too. So yeah, if you wanna end up talking like Jamie Oliver, then I'm sure it's a great idea!

    Sorry but I think getting your tongue pierced is ridiculous, particularly for guys. Seems like a very feminine piercing, just like belly button rings.

It's a fucking piercing, nothing more. If you think sexuality is that trivial, maybe that suggests something more about you than your girlfriend's brother, no?

    hmmm...you know what they say about homophobes...

    I had mine pierced for a short period of time....NOT worth the pain and hassle. But it was my ex that convinced me to do it...and she LOVED it. Shortly after I took it out, I saw vibrating studs at an adult store...now that would have been interesting.

    I don't get how anyone could think it would be meant more for fellatio than cunnilingus.... think about it...in which act is the tongue more prominent?

    Whilst I agree with you to some extent, I do question the point of a tongue piercing. It's not a piercing that's particularly on show, like a belly button ring, eyebrow piercing, ear, nose, lip etc. It's a far more concealed piercing, and the fact that it is concealed would imply that the reasoning for getting it, is not for adornment alone. Which then begs the question, what is it for? And like it or not, tongue piercings are largely associated with oral sex.

    No, I supplied a possible answer. I've never had my tongue pierced, or had the desire to have it done, so I can't possibly speak for other people and their reasoning.

    k, but I'm trying to figure out where you're going with your comment above. Why does it matter why people do it, why do you question the 'point' of it?
    And is there a problem (like it or not) with it being associated with oral sex? Are you implying that it's mainly associated with gay sex, and this is bad...or that it's just associated with sex in general....and that's bad? :confused:

    My ex had his peirced twice so when he would do...certain things they would make this little clicking sound...It illicited a very pavlovian response after a while, if you follow. In my experience, the piercings were very worth while. And had nothing to do with anything BUT oral sex. I will say, that dentists say they cause little fractures in your teeth so they highly recommend against them. Female dentists may suggest otherwise, though ;) To each his own. Life is short.

    any you are, of course, aware that oral sex isn't only a homosexual activity?
